I can't wait. Gen Con is about the only time of year I actually get to play games and not run them, not to mention eating at the Ram.

Got my passes and tickets (finally) today...

Happy, happy, joy, joy, happy, happy, joy, joy, happy, happy, happy, happy, happy, happy, joy, joy, joooooyyyyy!

(Only thing from Ren & Stimpy that was worth two poops in a boot)

Yeah, I guess I'm a LITTLE excited, my first time, be gentle. :) And not only am I getting to go to the ENnies, I'm working sound, how cool is that?

Dayton? Where you at mang?

I go on vacation a week tomorrow - the 4th of August.

When I leave work on the 4th and get my stuff together over that weekend, I think at that point I'll start getting excited. Right now...it's sort of a slow burn.

It would help if I had decided to go at anything but the last second. As it stands, I had no chance to pre-register and have no events booked.

So I'm going to GenCon without a single game scheduled. While I know that open tickets are useful, it's not as if I have anything in particular to look forward to, other than the Atari booth (I have NWN2 demos and meetings booked) and the dealer room.

If any ENWorlders have some games planned and are looking for a player - let me know. I'm probably interested :)

Ah well. Planning: what a concept!

I've got a Friday 10a-1pm Runequest ticket you can have.

Well, it appears that I will be attending after all. My wife is going to take the kids to the museums and zoo while I go to the convention. We found a hotel in Castleton with space (only about 15 minutes away) and will get there Thursday early evening and will probably stay until early afternoon on Sunday. At this point, I will likely be working the Magnificent Egos booth on Friday and then attending the ENnies that night. Saturday I have a Wargods fo Aegyptus tournament. Anything else is up in the air.

Of course, if health problems flare up on me again, that visit may be much shorter.

Cooler, eh? It's been pushing 100 degrees (over with heat index) for the past few days. Just the right time for great storms that always seem to hit Indy during Gen Con. :)
