Leaving Indy for 2006?

My guess is that a "turnstile attendance" is the count of how many times people entered the Con. If that is the case, then 82,000 is understandable. Hell, I must have gone in and out of the Con at least fifty times over the four days I was there.

My question is how did they arrive at that number. I never saw anyone counting, and I certainly didn't go through any turnstiles.

Hmmm...I assume with GenCon SoCal, its unlikely that GenCon will get pushed any farther west (maybe a poor assumption).

I would love to see it come East for purely selfish reasons, but I would bet that it stays in the Midwest.

Perhaps Chicago?

This is a mild threadjacking, but people, if you post a link to an article, PLEASE also post the article (or at least the relevant) portions here for the sake of convenience. It's a minor thing, but it cuts down on the hassle. Thanks.

EDIT: Thanks Devilbat.

Maybe they were also counting all the people that went to the Colts game......
More likely that is the total attendance for each day combined. Average it out, and you get a little over 20,000 (I have heard elsewhere that attendance was closer to 24k, so this does pan out about right).
