Oh man. My group meets on Wednesdays, and last week I mentioned, "Well, we'll work it out next week." One of my players pipes up, and says, "Well, I won't be there - V-Day dude".

And I look around the room.

Of FIVE guys in my group, TWO don't have s/o's of some kind, and I am ONE of them.

Ha!

our group is on hold for V-day..too many married guys unwilling to invoke the wrath of their significant others......

In my group, playing on weekights is difficult. However, evenif it weren't - Valentine's day is about celebrating romantic love. For us, that doesn't include a whole batch of other people.

As one of the two single players in my current Wednesday night group, I am rather bummed that the game was cancelled.

Then again, the other single player in my group is a rather-attractive young lady....

And yes, my girlfriend and I will be spending the evening together (we game on Fridays anyway.)

I'm not a big fan of V-Day; a combination of so many spent alone and not liking the idea that this one day I should be romantic, as though I'm not on so many other days. Thinking my then-girlfriend was of similar mind almost caused a big problem last year.

This year, she (now-wife) said she doesn't really care, but I decided to play it safe and planned two weeks of sessions in a row so V-day would be an off day (resurecting my midweek game, the plan was to play every other Wednesday). Change in schedules bumped our second session to this Thursday, so all that planning was for naught.

Had we ended up gaming tomorrow, my wife is part of my group. As it is, we'll hang out and probably play some WoW.
