KK. Figured it was worth asking, in my current RL campaign the DM let us take them instead of magic items with our starting equipment if we wanted, basically on the idea that we would have gotten them in some previous adventure or whatever.

If you're character does follow the Undying Court, they are almost certainly (1) an elf and (2) from Aerenal (recently or not). They have no following outside the elves of Aerenal.

Yah, that's kinda what I was starting to see, which means they really don't work for me. I may just have to change my background, none of the eberron deities really look like they'd fit in the raven queen's place for it. I suppose I might be able to fudge it so that the cult I grew up in was one deity (probably an evil one), and the monastery I end up at is a different neutral or good one, instead of different versions of worship for the same deity...

May I ask why and were this has been voted against? I assumed they were counting as a different 'item category', one which just cannot be sold or resold IC, but handled otherwise as any other 'item reward'.
And if DM's may award them during adventures, why are not allowed to buy in the parcel system?

I'm curious about this as well. I looked it up in DMG2, and it does say they can't be bought or sold, but since the starting parcels from creating a character higher than level 1 are meant to represent the rewards they would have gotten if they had adventured to that same level, it stands to reason that the character could have gotten alternative rewards in that time. I'm fine with not being able to use the starting gold or the (n level item worth of gold) parcel for them, but seems like it should be okay with the n+x level parcels.

EDIT: The Raven Queen's Shroud obviously wouldn't work since she's not a deity in eberron, but the Mercurial Mind psionic talent could still work.

How many characters are allowed in LEB? I think you can have two, but I'm not able to find it written down anywhere.

Two is right. At least I don't remember hearing about third as is in L4W...and there aren't enough adventures as-is, what would we do with third characters

Yah, I saw it somehwere in the wiki I think when I was creating my character. Somn like youc reate the first one, then once you get x number of RP points you can create a second...

wow, that is almost impressive. I'd say flattered, you're one of the few "gods" of LEB/L4W. (in my mind)
