LEGEND OF THE SEEKER #21:Unbroken/Final Season 2/2010

Darken Rahl and his soldiers set out before the heroes, but the heroes were hiding beside the road when they passed--after they captured the Seeker.
Right, that's the scene I was referring to. The "heroes" in question were Kayla and Zed. Zed can teleport. The question with him around is more akin why are they ever late getting anywhere?

Zed, in fact, seems to be a genie that can do just about anything. I guess now that he's old, he gets tired. Of course, we had an episode establish that he could just make himself young if he wanted to, but he doesn't want to.

Aha. Now it makes sense.

Except, Zed can't fight. Oh sure, he can shoot beams of fire from his hands at will, and knock a horde people over with a gesture. That's why in the last episode as soon as the fight started they said "Zed, get out of here!" and he teleported away.

Isn't Sleep a first-level spell? Shouldn't the most powerful wizard in the whole world know it?

Is the hot evil chick evil again?
Hot Evil Chick, a.k.a. Kara, was always evil. She just serves "Lord Rahl."

When the Seeker is Lord Rahl, she serves him and is held in check. When Lord Rahl is weird-accent-can't-quite-grow-facial-hair guy, she serves him and is allowed to do more evil deeds.

They were being attacked by Mordsith. Mordsith can reflect magic back it its user, so yes Zed had to run.

Well, y'know, mord sith are sort of the "paper" to a wizard's "rock", what with being able to block a wizard's spells and hurl them back at him.

I always did wonder, though, why Zed just never figured out how to use his magic indirectly. Turn the ground to quicksand, summon a boulder over their heads, and so forth. Zed's no Hal Jordan, that's for sure.

I beg to differ. I think she was coming up on a serious redemption/change of heart. She started working for Richard because he was Lord Rahl (and she had been kicked out of the Mord Sith sorority) but she was definitely starting to lean more towards his way of thinking. The whole exchange with the night wisp in an earlier episode is evidence of this.

That always occurs to me when Mord sith show up. Make an earthquake or something that they can't block.
