Legends & Lore 6/14: Faces

Tactics seems to me a very contrived label for that pole on the axis. The description he provides seems more to point to Rules Mastery than actual tactics. I have a really hard time correlating tactics as explained as a polar opposite of story.

4e's grid system still strikes me as being abstract. With the way that diagonal movement is defined, things tend to end up falling into rather loose bands of ranges, either "next to you", "close" (around 1 move action away), "medium" (within charging distance), etc. I find the grid combat in 4e to be a much more fluid and cinematic "fuzzy space" than 3e's rigidly measured 5-15-20 counting and 20-foot burst patterns and so forth.
