Ok, will be back on monday. If there is a fight before my return, use the racial power in the first turn, then recuperating, then howling (as long as the THP last), then restart with recuperating ;)

And Leif, don't use up my rage ;)

Khellek will continue to watch their backs as the quintet continues on their journey to Winterhaven. "Well, this has certainly been an uneventful trip. Maybe the tales of the trouble in this town are nothing more than the tales of bards, you know how they tend to exaggerate things, right?" The shifter says, taking a friendly jab at his companion.

Aimhirghin Maolán

Aimhirghin puts on a mock serious face and a stuffy academic voice. "Humph. Poetic license, the 'Artful Lie,' has long been our prerogative, my friend." Slipping back into his regular voice he adds, "Still, best to proceed with some caution. One never knows . . ."

Elerosse (Eladrin Wizard)

Elerosse chuckles quietly as he listens to the banter as the party moves along the road.

[sblock=Perception]
passive perception 12
Perception Check 6

So to make sure I understand the skills in 4e, passive perception is just a take 10 plus your Perception skill modifiers. Elerosse is untrained in Perception, so he's just +2 for WIS. Right? The active check is then 1d20+2.

Basher7 and Tarrk are the fist to put up their hands motioning for silence, and then you all hear it: There is singing coming from the road! Elerosse (and anyone else who speaks Draconic) understands the speech: it is a traveling song about a serpent taking revenge for her stolen eggs. (Very gory and disturbing.) The voices are not too close. You would guess that you have some time to prepare, if you get to it straightaway and do not dilly-dally.

Basher7

Motioning for the others to scatter, Basher7 moves off the road to the left looking for some cover.

OOC: Can he determine the number of voices raised in song or anything about the singer/s?

Basher7 finds both trees and boulders that provide cover, just pick one. there are a number of singing voices, he estimates between 8 and 12?
