Leif's "Pomarj" Greyhawk Beta Game [AD&D 1E] [IC 01]

OOC/MAP NOTE: If this complicates things, Leif, don't worry about it, but Raggs had moved (in the first surprise segment) to AI-29 to do his abysmal bow-shooting.

Just noticed it wasn't on the map. Again, if it's a problem, don't worry about it. It's not a big space and he can move wherever he's gonna go on our turn this round. /OOC

IC: Raggs awaits the pummeling of the orcish attack with great anticipation. hahaha.

Tower of Orcs

The Orcs, unfortunately, have the initiative, 4 to 3. Fortunately, however, there are only four of them who managed to survive the barrage of errant missile fire, which neatly matches the number of PC melee combatants in the party. Orcs 1, 4, 5, and 6 face off against Simon, Amaya, Ring, and Raggs, respectively, and swing at them with their weapons. And these Orcs are fighting with Short Swords rather than clubs. Only Ring is hit, and only for 2 hp damage. "Just a scratch, just a scratch," says Ring.

Heroes are up!

Amaya

Amaya unsheaths her longsword, taking a deep breath, she lunges toward the Orc (O4). Trying her best to "slice, dice, and julienne" this orc.

Opting to do more archery practice at some later time when an orc isn't breathing down his neck, Raggs switches to his trusty short sword and swings away!

EDIT: aaaaannnd...not so much.

Tower of Orcs -- Ring's attack

Ring swings his mace at Orc 5, but misses by just a bit.

Simon is up now, and he will be the last of the heroes to post an attack this round.

Tower of Orcs

ZACK! Simon's flail comes down on the orc's face with a tremendous impact that shatters its eyesocket, splashing eye fluid on the next orc standing just to the south. That Orc to the south attacks Ring, but he is evidently shaken by his companion's gruesome death, and misses. The last Orc, Orc 6, is inspired by the desperation of his situation and brings his weapon down on Raggs for 5 hp damage.

Heroes are up again!
