Pathfinder 1E Leif's Questing Knights - L10 Pfdr Rpg [OOC 01] [Full]

Wow, thanks a bunch, Leif! It means a lot to me. If nobody objects, I would so desire to join up. I havent read all 20 pages of discussion yet, but at first blush the group seems as though it could stand to have a rogue or healer. Since I was kinda thinking of playing a somewhat snarky/oppositional character, I'm thinking of playing a healer in order to avoid the snarky rogue cliche. Please give me your thoughts and I'm going to familiarize myself with the PF greyhawk setting a bit.

Another healer would be good. Then we could perhaps forgo the wand of cure moderate we have been talking about and stick to the more economical wands of cure light for extra out-of-combat healing. Would also give us the tactical advantage of being able to hold two positions or have two lines both with their own dedicated healer.

I join Helfdan in saying "Welcome, Yttermayn!" With two healers, we also have the option of splitting this game into two games -- two completely separate threads, possibly similar, possibly crossing paths occasionally, possibly switching members occasionally. And, Yttermayn, my intention is to use the 1E AD&D Greyhawk as nearly as possible, only making those changes that can't be avoided, like Pathfinder deities, but possibly using Greyhawk deity names for some of them.

And, Yttermayn, the irony is not lost on me that we are playing healers in each other's games! I'm not sure if I'd reccomend you playing a half-orc cleric like my adopted Grok, though.

How can he be agnostic when there is ample evidence of the activity of gods all around? Isn't it more that he knows there are gods, but he's so pi$$ed off at them that he is determined to ignore them? That's not precisely agnosticism, but will have about the same effect.

Ah, but is it evidence of supernatural beings, or is it a quantifiable result of the strange abilities of the mind and nature? Just because we haven't yet learned how to quantify it, doesn't mean it can't be. And 'more powerful' beings doesn't necessarily mean 'Gods.'

Ero's too distracted to be pi$$ed off for long, so that won't work very well for him. And he's not one to argue with others about their faith - they're welcome to it. The gods might or might not exist; it doesn't really matter to him, so long as there's stuff to play and experiment with :D.

Thank you, folks. Any suggestions on class/race combos? I know we're using some books above and beyond the basic PF books. I'll be trying to put together a char over the next day or two. Please bear with me.

Stargazer Oracle w/Heavens Mystery and either Haunted or Deaf Curse. Would make a certain kind of sense for a group that spends a lot of time travelling around the countryside, where they can get a clear view of the stars. Heck, were I not already playing an oracle in another game I would consider changing my character to that. An Aasimar with the Incorruptible trait might make an interesting race choice, though Elf, Half-Elf, and Gnome would also make good thematic choices as they all have low-light vision (though elves cannot get the +2 Cha bonus of the others).

Interesting, I was thinking Oracle, but maybe with a mystery that lends a little more magical offense or utility. From what I gathered so far, we have 20 build points. What is starting level?

Thanks, DeWar. I am digging the Oracle with Heavens mystery quite a bit. What do you mean by a Stargazer, Kaodi? Edit, NM, I figured it out. Definitely like the heavens mystery and haunted curse. Very Lovecraftian.

edit: Yeah, Stargazer dosn't do anything for me though. On to race...
