Pathfinder 1E Leif's Questing Knights - L10 Pfdr Rpg [OOC 01] [Full]

Hi, gentlemen! I was half-way through working on my barbarian tribesman when I noticed this "Questing Knights" business. I suddenly had flashes of another Greyhawk archetype I haven't played in years... The Knights of the Hart. All of a sudden I had a vision of a human ranger from the Vesve Forest, who came of age during the invasion of Furyondy, and has spent his life fighting incursions from the demon-haunted realm of Iuz... This would be a 1st-edition type ranger, giant-type foes and all.

Would you folks mind this change? (Red Knight's character and mine could have fought together for a while, depending on his background)

I wouldn't know where to guess. Any one ?

Not a clue. A lot? Probably not so much at level 10, but enough that you'd definitely be giving up something else you wanted to buy, I think.

Speed 50, AC: 19, HP: 38, 5 Attacks at +8 TH (Damage 1d8+6 Bite and four Claws at 1d6+6 Each), a free Grab w/ the bite and two of the claw attacks.

That's funny you mentioned fighting both demons and giants. I selected both as favored enemies, I took dragons before giant but that can be fixed easily. What combat style are thinking of going with? If you go melee I may go full on archery...maybe.

Until he hooked up with the Questing Knights, Ero's always been a city boy - born on the streets of Greyhawk, rescued from the life of an urchin by a half-elven magely couple with a "scientific" bent who tried unsuccessfully to get him to follow in their footsteps. As poor as he was at the magic thing, he was that good at the science thing. Now he lives his life seeking more pieces of the puzzle of the nature of the universe. He's very distracted most of the time, lost in deep thoughts and there's no telling what will pull those thoughts off on a strange tangent. When he's not distracted he's often manically excited to try out some new experimental use of his elixers and bombs . . .

About the only thing more important to him than his seeking after knowledge are his friends. Possibly because he didn't really have very many (any?) as a child. And for some reason, he's decided that the Questing Knights are his friends.

Classic Greyhawk foes... :)
Much like yourself, I was thinking of a 'Switch-hitter', archery style but all other feats melee. I was thinking bastard sword with/without shield.

Great minds think alike, sir, even if they are wrong! ;)

Hehe indeed. But between the two of use, our pets, Scott's fighter, and Mowgli's alchemist that would be alot of melee support. I think I'll switch to archery and go with another classic Greyhawk concept, the elven archer. It'll save me some money as well...to a point.

Play what sounds the most fun!! Background-wise, the elven tribes of High Elves of the Vesve Forest comprise the Knights of the Vesve, a branch of the Knights of the Hart. As a human, my character could belong to the Knights of Furyondy. As such they may have fought together against enemies from Iuz and Ket, as well as humanoids from The Yatil and Klatspur mountains...

Does the beast you posted fit with the general power level of the party?

Ero's an Agnostic, so it makes him no nevermind :D
How can he be agnostic when there is ample evidence of the activity of gods all around? Isn't it more that he knows there are gods, but he's so pi$$ed off at them that he is determined to ignore them? That's not precisely agnosticism, but will have about the same effect.

I have no problem with it.

But wait! We may have one more PC...

One of my DMs here on ENWorld, Yttermayn, has announced that he's looking to play in a game. He's been a dedicated DM for DeWar, I think Helfdan, and I know myself for lo these last many, many years [6? 7? 10?] so I feel like I owe the man a game or three. Therefore, even though I previously closed recruiting for this game, I'm making a special dispensation for Yttermayn to join us. If he so desires.
