Yeah rumor has it Lou is in the process of remodeling an older home to be the firms new headquarters and that's been keeping him rather busy. Especially when he engages in ill-considered projects that lead to personal injury. Guess it is a good thing they don't do personal injury law or he could end up suing himself for his own injuries.

Just saw the edit to my comment in the other thread. I would contend that while you could claim there is no good reason for it to be posted there, it is not true that there was no reason whatsoever.

Who's Bloody Game is it, anyway?

Kaodi, get over yourself already, and let's play. Statements not made in character voices or relating their actions and status, or legitimate DM posts, belong in the OOC thread. You can 'contend' all you want, as long as you do it quietly, but I'm still the DM around this thread.

[Edit, 7/17/2013 -- Yes, I had a singularly bad day yesterday. You should have seen this post before I edited it and made it infinitely sweeter. Anyway, it's all better now.]

I apologize for my extended absence. While recovering from the flu, I suffered an industrial accident. I fell through the ceiling at the house we are remodeling for a law office. I'm just now getting over the rib injuries. My right wrist is still not fully healed. The scar on my left wrist looks like I tried to slash my wrist, as the cut was directly over the vein. I'll try to catch up on this thread and post.

Now where is the subscribed thread listing.....???

For this job, I'm the general contractor. Just one wall repair, one floor, one carpet, internal office doors, some trim, new toilets and sinks, a wet bar at ADA height, two county permits (fire and occupancy), a repair to our septic line, expanded parking with a handicap van place, and we are ready to move in.

That's why most people hire contractors. Just because it doesn't take an advanced degree to be a contractor, the men who do it for a living know a bit more about how to do it correctly and safely than your average professor or patent lawyer. Heck, you're already making the big bucks, you can afford it!
