Pathfinder 1E Leif's Questing Knights, Veluna, Greyhawk - L10 Pfdr Rpg [IC 01] [Full]

Hraln approaches Sir Pavel and says a short prayer as he grabs he mans shoulder with one hand and puts his other, infused with holy energy, over the wayward knight's. A soothing energy washes over him and his wounds begin to close up. "'Tis a good thing I linked our lives together as the worm attacked. Otherwise he might have sliced you clean in two."

OOC: Cure Critical Wounds: 4d8+10=34 , Neutralize Poison, and throw in a pair of Lesser Restorations: 2d4=4 for good measure.

Ero checks the small vial he'd been about to shake and throw, making sure it's intact, then tucks it back into his bandolier. He looks distracted for a moment, until his tail creeps up behind him and taps him soundly on the head and then rounds his body to smack him on the site where the worm stung him. With a chagrined expression, the wiry Tiefling pulls a couple of reagents from his pack and mixes them quickly into a paste, which he then dabs onto the deep puncture . . . in fact, he pushes a good deal of the goo into the wound itself, which begins to close immediately.

Eldran looks at the dead monster pensively. "Things are grim indeed when such a monstrosity attacks travelers in the usually peaceful roads of Veluna!"

Sir Pavel

Sir Pavel Hikaru straightens his back, bows out his chest, and says, "Indeed, Sir Eldran! But, nevertheless, we should have a look around to see if the great hungry beastie had any baubles in her nest!" And, with that, the knight starts to slowly move eastward, toward the place from whence the Worm appeared.

"That, me mateys, is the best idea I've yet heard today." There is a short pause, then "Besides my own, of course..." comments Sozin as he falls into step with Pavel.

Battle Aftermath

Sir Pavel and Sozin lead the way toward the place from whence slithered the great nematode. Most everyone follows along, with the notable exception of Ero, who seems otherwise occupied at the moment.

Main Group
The group following Sir Pavel and Sozin have little difficulty tracking the wide flattened and somewhat greasy area left in the Purple Worm's wake. The trail leads beside the river for about 60 yards, and then veers straight into the river.

Ero
Ero knows what he's looking for, and he's pretty sure that he's found the internal reservoirs of venom. Removing them without losing the poison contained in them is going to be quite a tricky matter, however. [OOC: To succeed, make a DC 20 Dex check.]

Eldran shakes his head and smiles grimly. "A swimmer, was it? I doubt I can track it far under water..."

DM Edit - Oh, ye of little faith! Stand up and track like a true 10th level character! hint: there's a difference between a 'swimmer' and a 'slither-along-the-bottom'er

The little Tiefling pokes and prods delicately around the behemoth's stinger, and just about has the venom sacks cut free, when his tail snakes its way stealthily up his back and raps him soundly atop the head. Ero lets out a yelp and jumps, his dagger slicing neatly through both of his targets, and curses roundly at his tail . . . until he notices that the appendage is pointing urgently at his departing comrades. He wipes the venom from his dripping hands to his leather pant legs, leaps up and sets off after the rest of the group.
