Maidhc O Casain

Na Bith Mo Riocht Tá!
[section]

Ero takes his place in line with the others, focusing on the present long enough to thank the dwarves graciously for their hospitality as he fills a black bread trencher with stew and takes a mug of the proffered ale. His tail, for a wonder, doesn't even try to snatch anything and causes no trouble.

Johann accepts the offer of food most heartily. He fills his mess kit with the stew, sits down and digs in.

Dontrius

Dontrius doesn't know the words to the song, but he hums along as best he can. As he joins the others in the food line, he thanks his hosts in Dwarven.

The Dwarves in the serving line smile and acknowledge your words of gratitude, offering Eldran and Dontrius an extra-large helping of the delicious stew. The song reaches its end, and each of the Dwarves sets to the consumption of the hearty fare as only one can who is four-feet-nothing and weighs a dozen stone in the buff. What seems mere seconds later, when the cacophony of spoons and slurps has subsided somewhat, the Dwarves begin to produce toothpicks and long-stemmed pipes in roughly equal numbers, half of them needing a smoke and half with a pesky morsel stuck somewhere. One of the smokers asks, "So to what do we owe the pleasure of your visit today?"

Yurei pats a full stomach and fills his own pipe. Hanging on to a tankard of mead he answers. "A happy accident actua) y. Our journey has been interrupted by amorous Wyvrens if you can believe it. I must say we are most pleased to find such companionable fellows here."

"Ahh, yes, the horny wyverns again. Dwevim said he was going to hose them down good, but, ahh, now that you mention it, I haven't seen Dwevim around for awhile.... Odd, that! Hmm, oh, well. And we are pleased to have such pleasant company. Where are you headed, if I may ask? And do you require any assistance in choosing the best path?

OOC Explanation of How You Got Here

The party was exploring the region after finishing a battle with something big and hairy/scaly/feathery [a purple worm, yes, thanks DeWar], and following a stream. You reached a point where you figured out that a portion of the stream flowed underground, and a careful search of the area at this point led to the discovery of a cave entrance. Entering the cave, you explored a bit more a battled an ooze of some variety before discovering the stram again, flowing merrily along underground. You followed the underground stream for some long distance and then found a larger, "Underdark-like" passage. Soon after this you encountered the Dwarves.

And you should also remember this, from before you actually set out on this expedition:

As the Heroes rise and prepare themselves to begin this new quest, they each hear the priest's voice echo within their minds saying, "Remember --Look for the House without a Door and the Wall with neither Floor nor Roof. And take care my son."

It would seem that you are being guided by providence alone, considering the many twists and turns that your path has taken.

"Ah, so it was tracking a Purple Worm that led ye to us here in the Dim Kingdom! Well, I shouldn't worry overmuch abou' that. These beasties show up now and again and must be dealt with, but they are a transient nuisance. At any rate, laddies, now that you're here, what plans have ye? Ye must ha' been led here for a reason...."
