Leisure Suit Larry has an "erotic" D&D segment!

<ahem!> As some of you may know the latest game in the Leisure Suit Larry series just came out. In it (for those as don't know) you have to seduce a number of women.

One of them -- Morgan -- is a a gamer geek girl and as the last part of her story you play erotic D&D. (yes, tres creepy I know). Interestingly it is 3rd Ed and you can clearly see all the books and the DM's screen during the segment.

Do you think they had to get WotC permission for this?

And is it an advance in the portrayal of D&D in the media to be in a sex game?

;)

Really?

HAHAHA

That amuses me.

And really, it is what it is. D&D is a pop-culture icon, and it's certainly something the vast majority of video gamers are at least familiar enough with to recognize.

Personally, I think things like this are harmless, maybe even beneficial - the girls Larry tries to score with are always intended to be "hot babes", so I can't see how hot chick + D&D = sex could be bad.

I always liked Larry - well when I was 15 anyway:D - but um one question

whats involved in a game of erotic DnD?

Well either we are all socially maladjusted virgins or raging drug using sex fiends. We as a demographic portrayed in the popular media, never seem to be in the middle...
(This might belong in the VG/TV section)

Um no we are all geeks - the whole point of Larry is that he is a geek trying to score, the sexy gamer geek girl that we are all trying to score with is just part of the stereotype - enjoy it.:)

Sort of like strip poker, only you won't believe how fast you can end up naked if you get surprised by a Beholder.

No definite use of the BoEF; Morgan (the DM) is using house rules in the scene. (Dex roll to rip off clothes etc.)

As to questions of how to play erotic D&D, let's say it involves rescuing a princess and then working out how to prevent her from being used as a virgin sacrifice.

I think I'm still in safe waters here.
