D&D (2024) Let's call it 5.24

I've been calling it 5eR, pronounced

I've been using 5E Revised or 5E24, but 5.24E fits the same mold. Honestly, a year or so after release it'll just be 5E...

I can't do that—"fiver" to me will always be Hero System 5e, Revised).

Currently I call it 2024 or 2024 5E. I'll likely settle for whatever becomes the consensus for differentiating it from 2014 5E rules. (I sorta like the brevity of 5.2 but suspect that won't catch on.)

I'm hoping by this time next year I can just call it D&D. Then if I need to clarify (based on my audience) just say the current one.

I plan on referring to it as D&D. If someone asks what I'm playing, I will say D&D. If they ask what "edition" I am fine clarifying it as Revised 5E. I will never return to the 2000's-era abomination of a naming convention of "5 point-something."
