My semi-okay gaming setup

My gaming setup pretty much is bland compared to what I've seen upthread. I have a plain sturdy wooden table topped by an 8'x4' sheet of plywood and a Chessex Mondo Mat.

Yeah but the shear amount of Minis and Terrain puts you light years ahead of mine. Even though we use the cool D&D projector table We still use plastic D&D minis for the monsters and Metal minis for PC's.

Thanks, I'm a bit obsessive about my miniatures, as I have three complete Warhammer Fantasy Armies (Orcs & Goblins, Empire & Dwarfs), and a decent start on two others (Wood Elves & Chaos Warriors). I've been buying more terrain/buildings and D&D minis the past few years, though. I even went into Home Depot after Christmas & bought a Christmas Village building with a post-Christmas sale. (I even brought in a small tape measure to make sure the scale was okay) The only thing I'm lacking for a standard D&D campaign are ships and maybe a decent selection of choices for some of the newer 4E races.

Yup love those projector set ups guys, thanks for sharing!

Here's my little set-up in the game cave. I use a 46" LCD atm but plan on making the upgrade to a projector and custom table in the future. The LCD works brilliantly (no really, its quite bright with full lights on) but I'd like to expand the size of my digital battlemat to be a bit bigger if I can. Currently running, via maptools, a Kingmaker AP campaign for my game group!

Spoken like a true gamer.......Wants a new LCD before he even puts drywall on those bare studs......:D
Looks awesome man. Keep the PATHFINDER steamroller truckin.

Not sure what the actual campaign book name is but its the one where we hunt down Rovagug spawns and try to keep his followers from waking him from his sleep. Fun stuff.

Do the colors skew when you tp it over?

How easily does the screen scratch?

Is it more prone to dead pixels?

Just wondering cause thats pretty cool.

How much does a set-up like that cost? What does it take to run it (in terms of software, etc.)?

Heres the newest and final Work in Progress art panel to be added to the game table.

Looks freakin phenominal so far.

The woman who is doing all the art panels for the game table is my buddy's fiance'.

She is willing to take comissions with the understanding she is in college right now and the timeline for completion of a comission would be according to her work-load.

I have gotten a proposal to build another game table to see if it will sell. My buddy's dad has set aside $1000 to invest in another game table.

That is terrific news. Now all I have to do is find a buyer. I think first stop will be local gaming stores.

If it was up to me, I would buy a cool gaming table... however, if I had to bet on the likelhood, I think snowballs have a far greater chance in hell than is the chance of my wife agreeing to spend $1,000 or more on a gaming table.

I suggest you replace the frosted glass with PLEXIGLAS XT Grey 99561 RP .
It is rear projection plexiglas.
Might be too expensive but it is a thought.
