Round 136

Phil does not dodge the force (19 Ref save) and takes 85 points of force damage. Phil dies from the massive damage (natural 1 Fort save).

Next in round 136 for Chaotic Evil is an angel of decay (Libris Mortis). Judging from its name, I am guessing that it will smell worse than that armpit-smelling gas that Phil did not have a chance to use. I will need an E-mail, please.

Meineke[sblock]You know nothing about your next opponent. You can use breath weapon next round.[/sblock]

David Boreanaz (who else?) flies into the arena to 25n80e30z heading west. A repulsive, extremely tall, humanlike creature with long, rotting wings and peeling flesh, this large monstrosity continually sheds rivulets of filth and decay, creating a pool of rot on the ground. David is about 9ft tall and weighs over 500 pounds. He looks knowingly at the three visible spell effects in the arena.

Angel of Decay (not for LG to view): [sblock] Large undead, HD 26d12+29 (198hp)
Init +6, spd 30, fly 50 (poor)
AC 28 (-1 size, +2 dex, +13 nat, +4 deflection)
BAB +13, Grapple +35, Space/Reach 10/10
Atk claw +26 (2d6+13)
Full Atk 2 claws +26 (2d6+13) plus 2 wing slams +21 (1d6+6) plus rotting touch
SA rotting aura, rotting touch
SQ DR 10/adamantine and magic, darkvision 60ft, SR 24, undead traits, unholy grace
Fort +14, Ref +18, Will +26
Str 37 Dex 14, Con - Int 20, Wis 20, Cha 18
Skills: concentration +29, diplmacy +6, hide +18, knowledge (arcana) +29, listen +29, move silently +26, Search +29, sense motive +29, spellcraft +31, spot +29, survival +5
Feats: cleave, combat reflexes, great fort, improved init, improved toughness, iron will, lightning reflexes, power attack, toughness

rotting aura (su) - when the creature is not flying, rivulets of vile corruption stream from an angle of decay's body, constantly regenerating and renewing a pool of odiferous rot all around the creature. An angle od decay's pool of rot is a 15ft radius spread. Any corporeal creature standing on the ground within that area must make a DC 24 reflex sav each round or take 5d6 damage (half on save) as its flesh begins to succumb to the decay. The creature must also succeed on a subsequent DC 24 will save (regardless of success on the first save) or be nauseated for 1 round. In each round that a creature takes damage from an angle od decay's rotting aura, the angel of decay heals 5 points per victim.

rotting touch (su) - an angel of decay that hits a single foe with more than one attack in a round rots its opponent's flesh. This effect automatically deals an extra 1d6+6 points of damage and heals the angel of decay 5 points.

unholy grace (su) - adds its Cha modifier as a bonus on all saves and as a deflection bonus on AC (already figured into the statistics)

I'm sure the results of any knowledge checks will be meaningless as he will not last long enough to even approach Meineke, let alone do something about the force breath.

Round 137: David dodges the blast (natural 20 Ref save) and takes 41 damage. He has 157 hp left.

Meineke:[sblock]You can breathe again in round 139.[/sblock]

Round 138: The ray hits David (38 ranged touch) and has an effect (27 CL check). David takes 31 points of damage and has 126 hp left.

One of two things happens. (a) David leaves the arena, not being able to keep up. (b) He doesn't, but then time compress however you feel like.

Let's go with (a).

Next for CE is a Dream Vestige (Libris Mortis). CR 16 to the rescue! I'll e-mail the stats to PJSlavner.
