LG vs. CE: Lawful Good is Victorious!

Round 219 Continued
Optimus Prime breathes a line of force on B2 and then stands up (provoking an AoO if B2 survives).

Omega Supreme circles over the top of B2, taking a tail slap at +15 PA. He ends up at 65n20e35z heading west.

Lady Mariangela starts filing her nails.

Round 220
Max moves to 20n40e and tail slaps B1 with +8 PA and +5 CE.

Your turn, B1 & B2.

B2 does not dodge (30 Ref save) and takes 94, surviving the massive damage. He has 72 hp left and misses the AoO (rolled 38).

OP:[sblock]You can breathe again next round.[/sblock]

OS hits (rolled 50-15+5) for 33+18-15. B2 has 36 hp left.

Max hits (49-13+2) for 28+8-15. B1 has 205 hp left.

The cloud moves to 100N0E and stays there.

Round 220 Continued
Lady Mariangela glares at B1 and waves to it with a golden hoof. She does something mindboggingly intelligent. When I figure out what that is, I'll let you know. No, seriously, this is quite a complex rules question and I'm not sure if I know the answer, much less if she would. She wants to cast anti-magic field, protecting herself from attack from the material plane. The questions: (1) will that actually protect her from magical effects from the material plane, and (2) will that end her etherealness (if so, how does she get back to the material plane)? If the answer to (1) is yes and (2) is no, then she does it. If any other answer, she merely flies up to 40z.

Optimus Prime calls out in draconic, "Get 100ft away from this thing while I kill it and don't breathe until LM can move away from her position." He delays.

Omega flies in a circle, rising sharply, ending up at 45n0e90z heading south. He breathes a line of force at B1 (I calculate the distance to be greater than 100ft, less than 120ft).

Round 221
Max flies to 10n0e50z heading west and calls out, "Get away as well." He readies to breathe at B1 when OP moves.

Optimus Prime then flies away from B2, provoking an AoO. Presumably that won't interfere with OP's action, so OP flies to the southwest corner (about 0n10e) breathes backward at B2, does a wingover and lands at 0n80e.

Max takes his readied action to breathe at B1.

It would now be CE's turn, but you should await a response from Gansk.

For Gansk:
[sblock] If on the AoO, B2 provokes an AoO, e.g. by a trip, OP takes a bite.

I have as the initiative order from the top of the round: Pat, OS, OP, MR, CE, LM, Stephen. I still track the planetars for their spell effects. MR readied, but since he actually went after the complete turn of OP, I figured he goes after but either way is fine.

I'm sure that LM would realize that the force breath would affect her and so she is taking action to remove herself from the line of fire. I suppose I should be more strict on communication, but I presumed her comrades knew her location and that clearly she would move if required. Now they will not know her location, so make sure I do not inadvertantly metagame locations (I am honestly trying not to, but it is very hard).

Two other things. I just realized how useless those walls of force were. They do nothing except in the ethereal plane and anyone seeing into the ethereal sees those walls.

One other thing is to note that abjurations can affect the ethereal, so the balors may realized that a targeted greater dispel magic would affect LM. PJSlavner might not realize this, however, being a very obscure and unusual situation. If you want to redo the last actions or at least let him know for the future, I'd be okay with it.[/sblock]

PJSlavner:[sblock]I neglected to describe LM in the ethereal, but she has the same setup with the probable illusion in the NW corner and the walls of force intersecting at 105N and 55E. I2K wanted to remind the balors that abjurations work in the ethereal, thus they had an opportunity to send a greater dispel magic towards LM. Let me know if you want to redo a round or if you are happy with your current strategy.[/sblock]

I2K:[sblock]Please send me a spoiler letting me know what spells should be restored to OP, as I already have taken them off my spreadsheet.[/sblock]

LM:[sblock]You lose bless, heroism, remove fear, blur & mirror image. An anti-magic field would send you back to the prime material, where you would be shunted and take damage.[/sblock]

B1 & B2:[sblock]LM remains ethereal and invisible, but is no longer blurry or has multiple images.[/sblock]

Round 220: LM flies up to 40Z.

B1 fails to dodge (22 Ref save) and takes 86, surviving the massive damage. He has 119 hp left.

OS:[sblock]You can breathe again in round 224.[/sblock]

Round 221: B2 misses the AoO (rolled 45).

B2 doesn't dodge (22 Ref save) and takes 106, killing him.

OP:[sblock]You can breathe again next round.[/sblock]

B1 dodges a lot better this time (23 Ref save), but still fails. He takes 110 and survives the massive damage, leaving him with 9 hp.

Max:[sblock]You can breathe again in round 224. You can go after OP now.[/sblock]

B1's turn in round 221.

I think B1 should take a lot of damage from the explosion when B2 died because B1 is within 100 feet of B2. Max's breath should be the killing blow for B1.

Bring on the next victim, please.
