"D*** that kitty's fast. This is going to be painful."

The dwarf takes a sidestep (to 110N5E), draws his waraxe, and assumes a defensive crouch that lets him hew at the leopard with both hands.

(Round+1) Then he takes another sidestep (working his way south and east), and still in his defensive stance, draws his smaller handaxe, while he fends the leopard off with his waraxe (single attack).

(Round+X) He continues to sidestep south and east until the leopard is directly between him and the western edge. Throughout all of this manuvering, the glacier dwarf is fighting the leopard with both axes.

==
Interrupt if the dwarf actually lives long enough to get the leopard in the right position.

Round 121

The dwarf steps and hacks. Hits! (Rolled 23-4 for df = 19) 5 points of damage! The leopard has 11 hp left.

The leopard hits with a claw (rolled 16) for 4 points of damage. The dwarf has 3 hp left.

Round 122: Dwarf steps to 105N10E and misses. Leopard misses.

Canna push the kitty out? Nah, too far.

"HarulOx!*"
Dwarven idiom meaning "Someone will die today!" - lit. "The angels serve beer in heaven."

The dwarf proceeds to chop and slice the leopard until one of them dies.

Round 123

Dwarf misses twice. Leopard bites for 9 and hangs on to a limp dwarf.

Round 124: The dwarf is defeated!

Next up for LG: a protectar. (Miniatures Handbook) He goes first in round 124.

The protectar strides forth to 100N0E, entering the arena. He strikes at the vicious leopard with his longsword, then flies up to 90N0E15Z.

The protectar doesn't get a free 5 foot step if it moves in the same round.

Strangely enough, this is the first time this exact tactical situation has come up in this thread. So I've always assumed the entry was free, and it's never really mattered before now.

In that case, the protectar enters at 90N0E0Z and flies up to 90N0E30Z.

The protectar, noticing the hungry look of the leopard, smiles to itself grimly. Holding its longsword above its head, the protectar then dives at the leopard, pointy-end first.

At that point, the protectar slugs it out with the leopard until the leopard is dead or the protectar has lost at least 5 hp. At that point, the protectar steps back 5', then flies 30' up and back 40'.

Then he casts CLW on himself and advances (in level flight, 30' above the leopard) to directly over the leopard. Option: If the CLW does not raise him above 9 hp, circle and repeat the first sentence. Option: If he was already directly over the leopard, he just circles. Option: If the leopard is less than 30' ground distance away, he rises to ensure he's traveled at least 30'.

The following round (now directly over the leopard) he power dives with his longsword, where he again slugs it out. (Repeat)

Interrupts: If the leopard is ever more than 40' ground distance away, or when CLWs are gone.
