LG vs. N: Lawful Good Victorious!

Round 101

The archon can't see the cat, fires anyway, but doesn't get a reaction.

The archon is in the light again, this time with the edge of the darkness being 15 feet away.

The archon's light becomes tinged with a faint grey-red, but it bobs up to determine the center, then down to a spot 10' due west of the center, where it fires another bolt at the center.

==
That's the problem with only having ranged attacks and being in darkness - when your opponent runs past you, you can't do a dang thing.

At this point, I'd like to turn time compression on. The archon will repeat the above tactics every round; interrupt if the cat attacks.

OOC: I should have said that the darkness went to the north. We'll see if that makes any difference.

Round 102: The archon moves to 40N100E and fires to 45N110E. No reaction.

The darkness moves to the north, the edge is 20 feet away.

Round 103: The archon moves to 80N100E and fires to 80N110E. No reaction.

The darkness moves to the north, the edge is 15 feet away.

Round 104: The archon moves to 115N100E and fires to 115N110E. This time it sees the cat and hits for 6! The cat has 4 hp left.

The cat runs to the south and the edge of the darkness is now 60 feet away.

What does the archon do now?

Sigh. Just as well, I suppose, I got the coordinates wrong anyway.

The archon grimly hustles to 35N110E25Z (this should put him directly above the center of the darkness; correct the coordinates if it doesn't.)

The following round, the archon moves (if neccessary) over the center of the darkness, then fires a bolt straight down at the center (if no move was needed do a full attack). Repeat (double-moving as needed), until the cat is dead, or the archon misses too many times.

Round 105: Archon moves, darkness stays put.

Round 106: Archon fires twice and hears a noise down below. The cat is defeated!

A six foot long animated table moves to 35N110E and waits.

The archon feels no compunction against destroying animated tables as quickly as possible. It drops to 35N110E20Z, and fires twice. It then stays centered on the table (moving as neccessary), always at a height of 20', firing at the table as often as possible.

Round 107

The archon misses.

Round 108: The archon hits once for 2. The table has 29 hp left. The table goes into total defense mode.

Round 109: The archon hits once for 3. The table has 26 hp left.

Round 110: The archon hits twice for 7. The table has 19 hp left.

Round 111: The archon hits once for 5. The table has 14 hp left.

Round 112: The archon hits once for 6. The table has 8 hp left.

Round 113: The archon hits once for 3. The table has 5 hp left.

Round 114: The archon hits twice for 5. The table is destroyed!

The lantern archon enters the Hall of Fame! :)

A swarm of flying silver leeches, each about 4 to 8 inches long, teardrop-shaped and with rubbery winglike appendages moves to 35N110E20Z and tries to bite the archon. They seem to have no effect.

Fliers. I don't know what these leeches are, but this will complicate matters. Luckily, I seem to be immune to their bite, but that just may be the chaos of the world acting in my favor for once. And it is still quite possible that they have unknown attacks that may be effective. First, let us establish their mobility.

The archon withdraws to 0N0E50N.
