LG vs. N: Lawful Good Victorious!

The noctral hits (rolled 18) for 11 points of damage. The toad has 15 HP remaining. (You have to land next to the toad, or suffer an AoO as you fly by, because you have to fly at least 5 feet before you can go back up.)

PU2 lands and waits at 40N10E.

Okay, let's say that the noctral lands at 45N10E, since it cannot hover.

BTW, you placed PU2 in the same square as the dire toad (40N10E)

(I forgot aobut PU2 too, I guess I thought the field would reset after the draw, but the rules are explicit about that... are the stink/grit clouds still in existence also or have they timed out?)

Which also means that I'll want to consider what the noctral knows about the mephit. In particular, is he aware about the "needs magic to hurt" (i.e. DR) and the duration of the summoned mephit's existence yet to come (i.e. hours, if I remember right)

(action: full attack on the toad)

(Sorry about that. For some reason I had the toad at 10N40E. PU2 is at 60N20E. What the noctrol knows about PU2 is this: DR/magic; spell-like abilities (stinky fog and sandstorm); fast healing in volcanic gas; it can summon another mephit. The stinky fogs have disappeared, but the grit clouds are still there, centered at 35N40E and 110N75E.)

Round 199: The toad bites the noctral (rolled 23) for 4, but did not successfully grab on the equally sized owl, nor successfully poison it (rolled 23 Fort save). The noctral has 28 HP.
The noctral claws twice and bites for 24 points of damage. The toad is at -9 HP and dying.

Round 200: Coming into view at 60N40E is what appears to be the top half of a misshapen humanoid made out of mud, coming out of a pool of mud. The noctral recognizes it as a medium-sized ooze paraelemental, and knows its elemental traits and that its touch is acidic.

I forgot to have PU2 land, but I did not forget the rest. I said that he is waiting. Why doesn't the noctral get closer and find out what PU2 is waiting for?

The noctral suddenly reappears in a dive on top of the mephit!

(Swooping charge. If he hits, use the double-claw-damage option. Ends at 60N45E0Z.)

(Basically, the noctral is going to curve around up high and do a swoop attack on PU2. Rather than plot all of the details, if neither creature can perceive or act on the noctral right now I'd rather skip to that step.)

Round 202: The noctral skewers PU2 for 18-5=13 points of damage. PU2 disappears, as does the sandstorm along the northern wall. (Unfortunately for PU2, he got what he asked for and the noctral came closer.)
The mudman punches the noctral with a glorpy fist (rolled 23), slamming for 5 and dealing 2 points of acid damage. The noctral has 21 HP remaining. Should I time compress full attack action? By the way, the noctral knows that touching the paraelemental will not give it acid damage.

Thoughts flash through the mighty intellect of the noctral. Normally it is more given to leisurely academic pursuits, so its mind is not easily bent to combat decisions. Fight or Flight? A classic decision, and in a fraction of a second the noctral has mused over scholarly works considering this base response as observed in creatures from the celestial to the infernal to the elemental. Fight seems advisable, since limited gain will be made from strafing attacks. Less than a second later, the high intellect is instead bent to the raw clawing of the fight.

(Full Attack and compress away)
