Introduction

Four kobolds, standing near a deserted mountain range, look to Kurtulmak for guidance. Their tribes, their homes, and all things that made up their past are forgotten in the name of constructing a new and better home. Far from the Temperate lands of the inner continent, they find themselves far from the major tribes like the Lucky Clan, and the Smiley Face Tribe.

Gruegel peak is as good a place as any, a few miles north of the Imperial Battle Memorial to the sacred heroes of the Temple of the Place of the Lord of the Master of the Secret Ancient Order of the Final Vengeance of the Fearful Sun and Moon. There are few pilgrims that come into this region, but many bounty hunters, criminals, and adventurers. They may have to compete for food, water, space, and all other forms of wealth. They are ready, they are without fear. They are Kobolds, they will not fail because they are masters of the skills necessary to protecting this new territory.

All players start with a copy of the Maps detailed above.

Grangner's Bluff
This short cliff, about 300 meters high, gives sight over most of the territory to the south. You can make sight of the Onix clocktower over Trigun from this bluff, and it's one of the four tallest points in this section of the mountain. Three caves form an interlocking network of caverns under Grangner's Bluff, according to the map.

Gruegel Peak
This peak, standing over all things in the region, has a flat snow covered head roughly 200 meters wide. Sometimes, on double-full moons, the peak is surrounded by a fog, rumored to be the entrance way for certain demons into the region. There is a single cavern that enters into the base of Gruegel Peak, believed to be a source of gemstones of many types.

Barius Peak
Supposedly, this pointed peak was the sight of a volcano a few years back, and supposedly a Gigantic Stone Giant fell into the volcano, sealing it up permanently. Small earth-quakes are common right aoround this mountain. Four caverns lead into the warm-springs below Barius Peak, but there are many different theory's about their networking. Some believe all caves are connected to the lava rivers that run below the region, while others believe that each cave ends in the mouth of some wicked creature.

Shellter Cliff
This large, Turtle Shell shaped cliff provides a huge natural shell from nature. At some point during the pre-god era, this location was the site of a city that may have created this structure. Now, some people fear that a quake caused by Barius Peak will cause the supports to chatter and the shell will cover all things within. Two caves lead into the support structure here.

Lala's Lake
This tiny lake is full of yellow, pure, and believed to be alchemically stable water. Animals in this region sometimes develop yellow fur, believed to be sourced in this tiny lake's color.

Po's Pond
These Blue/Purple crysal waters are always cold. A small hut to the west is occupied by the Trog Wizard Po-Ret. Nobody wants to approach him because of his stench, but supposidly he's a master of many unique spells, albeit very strange...

Gruegel Hills
This is the flat of rolling mountains that are named after the hero of the Stampede Wars. This brave Lancer managed to defeat an entire hoard of Trolls that overwhelmed the land, before the great Troll Re-Evolution.

You all begin at the square where the letters "gel" in Gruegel hills is located. Each square on the local maps represents 1 Square Mile.

"Soon," began Freep, "soon, this will be our territory. We will create a grand clan, and bring order to these wild mountains."

Upon hearing his lofty speach, some of his companions looked askance at the kobold in loose-fitting garb

Koddok gives Freep an encouraging slap on the shoulder.
With a practiced glance around to be sure he has the attention of his audience, he raises his club, which he has engraved with a pattern of scales and rubbed with red dirt for dramatic effect, and points.

"See these mountains! From those rocks we shall carve our new realm. We shall be greater than the Lucky Faces. We shall be greater than the Smiling Mouths. For Kurtulmak is with us!

"We shall be The Great Rock Clan!"

He stomps his club on the ground headfirst with an expectant glint in his eyes.

"Kurtulmak is scaly!" Stomp. "Kurtulmak is green!!" STOMP.

Kris walks up and pushes Freep and Koddok aside.

Get out of my way.

She steps up to the edge of a small cliff and glances at the soutern slopes and plain. Then she turns around and takes a long gaze at each of the peeks at a turn.

Hmmm this will do fine.

Then she grisses a small piece of parchment out of Koddoks hands and takes a short look at it before handing it back.

She turns her gaze to the east and holds it there for a minute orso, silent before turning around to face her kin dwindling about.

That one will do. It has traits we might find of use... Allthough riches will prove of great help and value as well...

She leaps of the small cliff, a few feet down and looks back up.

Well.. what will it be? The rumored gems or the lava streams and mineral riches?
