I'm just happy that the presence of Orcus was confirmed. :)

Artwork wise, I'm not as impressed as I was with Draconomicion but that's tough act to beat. (In any case art is ALWAYS subjective.) I do like it. And I know I'm getting it. If only because now with at least TWO Orcus references, this book at least has the prospect of being more than just 'Oooh we got undead" and more like "Hey we know you wanted him, Nightfall. So here. Get this and shut up!!" :p ;)

I serious like this art. I think I like this art more than the Draconomicon. I will need to have it physically to make a final decision. My favorites are the Wheep and the Blade of Pain and Fear, and the Slaymate is just creepy.

I hope you aren't thinking of Valterra, considering that the changes were alrady past Wizards' legal before his whole font episode.

And what do you base this on? Anthony said it was "in the works". He did not say it had cleared legal in any thread or public statement that I had seen.

I'm not the only person who suspects there is more to the situation than AV sited. Indeed, several people, some with much more legal expertise than me, mention that the license changes contains suspect "legaleze" and looks rushed. AV was hoping to beat the license change, but WotC beat him. I suspect that it was rushed and the shape of the final license reflects that.

Of course since we only have one side of the story this is speculating, so take this FWIW. But even that one side isn't saying what you are saying.

At any rate, there is a huge thread on this very topic, I don't see the need to rehash it. I only responded to answer querries about what I met and correct a false assertion.
