Libris Mortis - The Book of Undead

Anyone got some infos for upcomming Libris Mortis - The Book of Undead ?

I prefer to call it the "Necromonicon" and the Draconomicon I call the "Libris Dracos".

It's being written by Bruce Cordell, I think, so I wonder if he'll borrow stuff from the great "Return to the Tomb of Horrors" he wrote? Such stuff like the school of Necromancy in the heart of the Vast Swamp and the evil Necromancer, Drake.

I wonder if there'll be detailed info on the cult of Orcus and on the demi-lich Acererak?

There'd better be stuff on Orcus or this book won't even be rated worth my time.

it'll be more info about his diet and excersize plan, as well as his secret nipple ring fetish.

I doubt that there'll be much on Orcus, considering that he was detailed in the Book of Vile Darkness. There'll hopefully be something, but I'm not holding my breath.

And yes, this book should have been Necronomicon, but I think there's copyright issues on that title.

At any rate, I'll be picking this volume up. And I'll be interested to see what's in Codex Anathema. Give us a book of Fiends dammit!

I am only guessing but I think it will probably go throug all old undead from the monster manual once more (yawn), with some new rules (yaaawn) and spells (zzzz) offcourse this is only a guess, I don't know anything about it.

Just as a note, Necronomicon does not mean book of the dead.

It means "The Book of Dead Names." So Draconomicon actually means "Book of Dragon Names."

I was quite antipating this one. I mean, you've got Bruce Cordell as author and you've got the ultra coolness of undead/necromancy. You can't go wrong, right?

Wrong.

After the Planar Handbook (which I also much anticipated) I'm gonna be very careful with anything I purchase that has "Bruce R. Cordell" written on the front cover.

Formerly, if it was by Brucy Boy, I'd buy it immediately. Alas, those times are now at an end.

Granted, but he also did the XPH, which was fantastic.

At any rate, Draconomicon was fantastic, and if Libris Mortis is like it, then I'll be happy.
