Actually, that reminds me - did Absorb/Dissipate Energy make it into d20 Starwars anywhere? A/D Energy was the name of the ability from WEG Star Wars game for what Darth Vader did in that conference room on Cloud City when Han quickdrew and cracked off a few shots at him. The whole 'check me out, I can just parry your blaster shots with my palm that's how badass I am' trick, just before he telekinetically disarms Mr Solo.

Yes absord/disapate energy is in the D20 Systems.

In the SWd20R, that ability's called Block, uses the same mechanic as Deflecting blasters, but doesn't actually allow you to bounce them.

Dissipate Energy, otoh, is a feat that lets you convert wounding energy damage into vitality points with a successful save.

I believe the difference was discussed in one of the Jedi Counseling columns on the SW RPG site.
