Light Sources - Best Bang for Your Buck

. . . Why has no one suggested . . . um, a torch.

1 copper piece. Pretty cost effective, I'd say, unless you're an elf who plans to go dungeon delving . . . (everburning 110gpx100=11,000cp . . . 11,000/8 hours = 1300-ish . . . 1300 days of dungeon crawling)

1300 times. Hell, let's say 400 times if you plan to stay down all day. Who spends 400 days in dungeons?

I wouldn't call it cheap but the dancing latern (Dungeonscape) is pretty nice as you get a nice light source which is also hands free.

That sounds interesting. I don't have Dungeonscape yet. What is the light radius, and how much does it cost?

I'm too old school. I still stick with the Continual Flame cast on a coin. Throw it in a pouch when not in use. Total cost: 50gp 1cp

I gotcha, and I have been using the tried and true torch, lantern, or continual flame as well.

However, I am getting tired of not being able to see all the way down a cooridor, or big room. It's just not a very big light radius.

i like the glowing orb spell out of the SC 60' radius you can turn it off when you want and you can have it mounted on a shield, pentant, or helmet
