I guess this ties into another thread in this forum. As Letterman was asking them to roll the clip of the movie, he announced it as "OK. The Lord of the Rings: The Twin, er, The Two Towers"...

I bet that slip up was partially caused by Letterman's working in NYC... you hear even more about The Twin Towers if you're from around there.

The memory will be with all of us, around the counrty and the world, for the rest of our lives. I do not think the cursory association the tragedy has to the movie will last, fortunately, but is sure is telling when something like what happened on Letterman happens, even if it was only a brief moment that most people likely missed.
