Pretty much all the character artwork. No consistency, no exciting visual style. It's bland, mushy, and has no "texture". There's little that jumps out and grabs me. Just look at the elf pic in the race section. Those elves are fugly. Especially the male. Proportions in much of the artwork is also very much off kilter.

It's just bad art all around. I could find dozens of samples from deviantart that would be far better than what's in the book.

I am envious of the half elf illustration.

the female elf in the races image has a flat head, and the male looks like Elrond from the moves. i never thought the actor of Elrond looked quit for the part. The illustration version is alittle mish mesh too and its slightly cubist. I like the color though. Its the drafting that could use some work though.

I do think the female Dragonborn are silly (ditto, male Dragonborn!), but I must say some of the art in the books is amazing. It ranges from somewhat poor or amateurish to really, really good. A few pieces are honestly excellent, IMO.

EDIT: I did notice the halflings have more human-like proportions than the actual humans. What's up with that?

They have large upper bodies, i think it looks a tad strange. I like tiny halfings. the slim kind and tubby kind.

I opened up the thread when it only had six posts. Didn't refresh before I posted...it happens (especially with a 5-year old that wants daddy's attention).

I said the proportions were a little off, the the influence is their. I hope i can post this. Mods let me know.

A little off? The elf nose and ears are twice as long as Elronds. The cheeks are as sunken as a starving halfling. THe neck is stretched horribly as well.
