Looking For A Campaign Setting

Rue,

Good deal. :) You rock man. (Course I like my jokes better but eh I know you're not joking just being factual) Which means you rock that much more! ;)
Thank you for kind words.

You know, my Scarred Lands campaign files date back to 2002-05-13 (oldest design sketch for campaign page). It's going to be four and half years old, soon. And, best of all, while some of the original characters are still active, we still haven't explored far beyond Mithril.

I still own 30+ books for SL. I still hate White Wolf for letting such a setting go - after all, they could have provided at least a surrogate fan support by letting out a gazetteer once a year. I'm sure it would sell given the number of people who still use it.

Finally, given the terrifying lack of imaginaton evident in current World of Darkness supplements (yes, I've browsed a few of them... bah, I actually bought one) - do you know they even released a game about playing golems (I'm simplifying game concept a bit) in WoD? It's that how far they ran out of fresh ideas - they are likely to return to d20 in one way or another. Hopefully, they will also acknowledge the fact that while their home system practically relies on GM's fiat, d20 does require some game balance :)

Regards,
Ruemere

PS. I was a rabid fan of WoD. I still like it. I just don't like some business decisions they made.

That's pretty ignorant.

If you think Iron Heroes would be your cup of tea however, the Dark Harbor adventure (from Fiery Dragon) is actually set in the Swordlands, and contains some great background information on the setting. But the setting is no more developed than the backdrop world for Keep on the Borderlands was. By the way Capellan, didn't you write Dark Harbor?.

Yep, that was me.
