Looking For A Campaign Setting

And your job here is to post suggestions to the OP as well....

My "job"? Anyway... I didn't have a suggestion to offer, so instead I compiled others' to give the op (who appears to have since moved on, btw...) a sense of the group opinions. Since my compilation was posted, there have been few additional suggestions, with most of the posts being discussions of the comparative merits of the leading suggestions. The two notable exceptions are as follows:

Setting: The World of Farland (homebrew)

Setting: Ilshara: Lands of Exile (homebrew)

Finally, given the terrifying lack of imaginaton evident in current World of Darkness supplements (yes, I've browsed a few of them... bah, I actually bought one) - do you know they even released a game about playing golems (I'm simplifying game concept a bit) in WoD? It's that how far they ran out of fresh ideas - they are likely to return to d20 in one way or another.

That's pretty ignorant.
Calling one ignorant without putting at least one argument is known as flaming.

For your information, I own a few shelves of books released by White Wolf Games Studio, Arthaus, Black Dog. I have been also trying (and skipping) one by one each of new WoD game lines - having good friends among local game shop owners often allows me to bypass -reader-protection books in order to browse and judge them (very important for so-called mature-content-inside crap avoidance). Also, since quite a few people got hooked on new edition of WoD, I have been able to witness the way new setting and system work in practice.

Prometheans, given my brief experience with the product, is just these - golems, constructs, man-made toys meeting centuries old irony of Oscar Wilde saying "I think that God, in creating man, somewhat overestimated his ability" and taking it one step further. And, of course, given very whitewolfish tendency, organizing rare occurrences into factions, writing stereotypes and opinions. And so on (yes, it is -- in my opinion -- so uncreative that I can type "so on" and everyone familiar with WWGS products of WoD line will instantly know the rest of the content).

In short, it's a new, limited, concept with ages old execution. Nice presentation, hardly inspirational.

Regards,
Ruemere

Let's make this simple.

To the original poster, cidim38:

Just email me and I'll send you an online coupon so you can order the Kingdoms of Kalamar campaign setting sourcebook off our website for free. You'll just have to pay shipping and handling.

Okay. My work here is done. ;)

:D Thank you very much !!! :D

Got the KoK setting book and I think we're going to give this a try for a while. Seems to be/have most of what we are looking for. I'll probably post something later about how it goes for us.

Thanx everyone for your help/advice!

Also, sorry to have been the cause for any fights/arguments that got started. That was definitly not my intent.
