Looking for a city setting

Reading thru review looking for a city in which to place a glatiator campaign. Bluffside and Streets of Silver are looking good. Can anyone tell me about the Arena district in Parma?

Hopefully will make a trip to my FLGS soon, but I will be surprised if they have either of these in stock.

Both kick butt, so either way you will not be sorry--this from a co-creator of Bluffside so when I say both I mean it. SoS is good stuff.

Enough people have plugged Bluffie so I will not beat a dead horse, but LI has some real good stuff and seem to be getting better at each release. Either city IMNSHO will be a good buy for you.

We have a free adventure on the http://mysticeyegames.com website under freebies to give you a sample of how we handle things in Bluffside. It is called "Right Beneath Your Noses".

Larry, your greatest fears are realized. 4 FLGSs, and none of them have SoS. We're talking Atlanta. I will bring a bat or some other large object suitable for beatings when I next visit them.

Oh, well, I needed a pound o' dice too, so I'm off to the EN World/RPGshop to order it.

Hal, many thanks for your advice too. Parma is such a perfect fit for this campaign that I have to go for it, but Bluffside impresses me. At least one FLGS has Bluffside in stock, and I will probably pick it up in a couple of weeks when I get my 3.5 books.

Hand of Evil, I agree that the Vault is a big selling point. Hal, I assume it would be acceptable to download maps and such for a Bluffside campaign and email them to my players, wouldn't it? They likely would not have the book and therefore would not have the codes themselves for the downloads.

Thanks to all for the helpful advice, particularly to Larry and Hal. Do not feel bad about "pimping" your products on these boards. It is a great service to be able to get info straight from the creators/publishers when deciding how to spend my gaming budget, and it shows how strongly you feel about the quality of the creations.

Thanks Joe, could you e-mail me the names of the 4 FLGS? Just want to make sure they are aware of us, nothing illegal, no thug squad or anything, really.... D20Thugsguild

I think pride in our work comes from the fact that we write the books we'd want to use. I beieve that's the same reason you see such quality in MEG's stuff too. It's been beaten to death on these forums that no one is getting rich off of game design, so if you're spending your time in it, might as well do the best you can with it.

Email is on it's way. Thanks again for your help. And I'll be sure to just smile when I see the bandages and crutches next time I stop by there.

Of course and actually we recently opened the vault on Bluffside at the MEG Freebies page so it is there for free, no need to email it, send 'em a link and tell 'em to download it themselves ;) .

Enjoy the products and enjoy the game, have fun and we all win!

Larry you are sooooo right we are not flying in the MEG jet to GenCon this year :D .

See ya at GenCon for some swag Larry!

Rats, I was so looking forward to those aerial tricks your pilot does with the woman who flies for Malhavoc...

Ah well...

It's a deal on the swag, John's not getting all the cool MEG stuff this year... Muhahahahahaha....
