My daughter (the 6 yr old) liked:

"Shall I describe it to you or should I find you a box."

You took a 6 year old to The Two Towers? A PG13 film, no less, and filled with pretty extreme violence, bloodshed and (for a child) some very scary images.

This is why there should be a test before people are allowed to become parents.

Be polite. In all honesty, some children have no problem with such things, and being condemning without knowing the situation is just rude.

Ok, on topic... Gimli's "what, you can't beat me!" during the kill count was also great.

Your ignorant post (onm post #5 no less) is proof why there should be a test before you can post on this forum.

There should be a similar test for people who feel the need to publically judge the worth of another as a parent based on any but the most empirical of evidence.

I thought the screenplay of the movie was solid overrall, with many characters delivering excellent lines, especially the interaction between Frodo, Sam, and Gollum, and also between Aaragorn, Legolas, and Gimli. I need to go back and see it again!

Wow, people, calm the hostility. BrianL was a little harsh in his criticism, but the response was perhaps a little warm as well. Given his 5 posts, perhaps he was unaware that personal attacks on things like the fitness of people to be parents are not acceptable here. That doesn't mean that people should be attacking back. I'm sure nobody involved will feel compelled to continue this hijack.

In short, nothing to see here, go back to quoting the movie and not finding fault in one another.

"You could have picked a better spot."

"I'm his gardner."

and Gollum's little fish song is an undoubted classic - can anyone get the words on this thread?

This is the best I could make out, so feel free to correct me:

"The rock and pool, so nice and cool
So juicy sweet
Our only wish, to catch a fish
So juicy sweet"

I loved Theoden's "little speech" while donning his armour. Otherwise if they put back Faramir's monologue (mentioned in my thread above) that'll be my favourite - especially if David Wenham can deliver as well as his obvious acting talents suggested...
