Lord Ogglebottoms Odd Tasks: All in a Nights Work (DM: DMDanW, Judge: Renau1g)

The dwarf looks left and then right as Gloom and Gellan quickly make their way around him cutting off his escape. "Arrgghhhhh" he cries out as Zharne sinks his teeth into his leg. Looking back up with a grimace on his face, he raises his hands up and lets his warhammer fall to the ground. "Alrighty boys, ye gots me fair and square. Now what's it yer about" he asks.

"Minarath, tie him up or I'll make sure he won't escape anymore." tells Gloom. He then turn his attention to the dwarf. "Simple, and I'll tell it only once. You better answer them all and tells the truth or you'll join your friend in his trip to Lauto's kingdom. Where is Hraken, who is with him, what trap or ambush can we expect and where is Ogglebottoms box?"

[SBLOCK=OOC]Intimidate (1d20+8=21)

By the way, I have a passive Insight of 22, so he is better to be a good bluffer if he want to live.[/SBLOCK]

The dwarfs eyes go wide and a slight look of fear creeps onto his face as Gloom begins questioning him. In a quite voice the dwarf answers Gloom. "Look I'm not wantin any more trouble from ya. Hraken's down below. He's got what yer lookin fer. The rest o' the gang be down there as well. The stairs leadin down are behind the kegs o'er there" and he points to the smaller wall rack of barrels in the corner.

Minharath walks between Gloom and the dwarf, and holds up an uncoiled rope before him. "What oath do you give, that you will not slaughter him as you have these others, who lie here, their blood still upon you?"

"An oath, big word for a scum like him. He would have killed us if he had the chance. He would have shown no mercy. He is just lucky to still be alive." replies Gloom before heading toward the barrels and taking a look to see if the trap is where the dwarf have told them.

Gloom heads over to the barrel rack and with little effort it swings outward on well oiled hinges to reveal the stairs (not trap) behind leading down. The stairwell is lit and from far below you can barely make out the sound of someone talking.

Gloom closed the door. "There is people down here. Let's finish tie that dwarf up and let's get them outside with the others prisoners. Then, we head down there and finish the work."

[SBLOCK=OOC]By the way, if Gloom sounds angry, it is because he is. He hates the gods, including Lauto, for having killed his tribe and left him alive and alone. So when someone like Minharath talk about the love and peace of his goddess, it cannot let him indifferent.[/SBLOCK]

"An oath, big word for a scum like him. He would have killed us if he had the chance. He would have shown no mercy. He is just lucky to still be alive." replies Gloom before heading toward the barrels and taking a look to see if the trap is where the dwarf have told them.

Minharath points forcefully to the corpses on the floor. "Your attitude is self-justifying. You are no better than these. You have murdered men today, and I do not care the quality of their character. You will give your word that the men tied up here will live, or I will free them now."

Gloom walks next to Minharath, his weapon in hand. "My people were venerating Juna, your goddess. My father found her mate and they were blessed by her. We were an happy tribe. Respectful. But what have she done the day the raiders have come. Nothing. She let my tribe get murdered. Netari led the raiders to us. Maros gave them the might to wipe us. I'm the only survivor because even Lauto have laugh at my face and have left me alive to see the carnage and carry the pain.

So I don't care about your goddess and her believes. She is a murderer, like all the gods. I'm tired of being the toy of all of them. Lauto doesn't even leave me, always trying to tell me whose time it is... and I will tell you. His time have come. If I was like you, a puppet to the gods, I would have killed him already.

So if you want me to be a faithful man, I'll kill that man. Is that what you want?"

"I do not serve the Hearth Goddess because it is what she wants. I do what I do because it is right. My actions are my own, and they please the goddess.That is why I venerate her. I do not know what they tell you about the gods here, but where I am from, there is someone who weeps every time a man does evil, and smiles at every generous deed. Whomever you hold her to be, which would you rather be responsible for?" As he speaks, Minharath makes a point of being openhanded, unarmed, and right between Gloom and the Dwarf.
