[sblock=ooc]I've been specific so far regarding KO's vs. kills. Gellan went a little berserk in that last fight -- he *tried* the "talk-it-out-first" approach, and got shot at. *grin*

Gellan spends a healing surge to come back to full HP.[/sblock]

Gellan follows the two shifters towards the stairs, mumbling to himself. These people worry too much about death. All things die.

Zahrne helps Minharath with the dwarf and says to him, "Minharath, we did not murder them, we offered them a fair chance to surrender and they refused by attacking us we we defended ourselves. Also know that while I do not share your view, I will respect it now and I will attempt to leash the beast so to say while you are around so don't leave us as we need your wisdom & abilities as they may save us also I will try to convince the others, I am sure they will listen to me”

then he walks over to the others and asks them, “Our priestly friend doesn't like that we use lethal force so can we please refrain from that at the moment? I hate it as much as you do but we WILL need the priest and for his services that is a small price to pay”

Minharath speaks from the doorway, as he returns. "You hate it? The respecting of intelligent life? Is that the law you live by - he who errs, dies? Your world is a dark and unforgiving one, and not a place I would choose for myself. I Nor do I well like being 'tolerated.' Already you have shown a lust for death I cannot fathom." Walking slowly, he joins the group, though standing to one side, so he can address them all. "I will guard your lives, if you will restrain yourselves from butchery - regardless of how well deserved you deem it to be. But I will do so only because I believe a man can change his ways. As we continue, please consider that I am here because I give you the chance you denied these men." Minharath's gesture encompasses the corpses on the floor. When he stops speaking, Minharath gestures gently toward the stair.

Before we move on, enough time has passed for a short rest. Gellan indicated he was spending a healing surge to bring him up to full hit points. Anyone else doing anything I should know about?

[SBLOCK=OOC]I should be at 20/38, as I had regenerate 2 points during my last round where I killed the human and challenged the dwarf. I'll spend 2 more healing surge and I should be full.[/SBLOCK]

"I don't need him... He does almost nothing expect complains and stay frozen at the first drop of blood. But if you feel more secure with him around, I'll do so." replies Gloom to Zahrne. As Minharath come back, Gloom stares a moment at him, exasperated by the cleric ideals and his out of reality view, he decides to not add a word and head toward the stairs. He opens the secret door and head inside the stairs.

OK.

So aside from anyone else spending healing surges, in what order are you heading down the stairs? Are there any precautions you are taking?

FYI: The area below is lit and you did hear faint talking when Gloom checked the first time.....
