[sblock=H'rakens powers]
That's exactly right Ozy, H'raken has a power called Triggering Slash, which allows him to attack, and then one of his allies can shift and make a basic attack.
[/sblock]

Thorn dances behind H'raken, hoping to grab his attention. Unfortunatley, the inky cloud causes his spear-tip to miss, with only a weak spear-butt making contact.

[sblock=Actions]
Move: walk to J22, gaining Combat Advantage on H'raken by flanking him with Gloom.
As stated in the posts above, this walk could trigger an Opportunity attack from H'raken, but he'll trigger a Divine Sanction - and being so low on HPs it would seem silly to do so, since he's nearly impossible to hit in the Vexing Cloud (AC24).
Standard: Reaping Strike on H'raken. Added bonus for CA, and penalties for concealment and Vexing Cloud.
1d20+5 (vs. AC)=19 Just misses H'raken's AC of 20, causing 4 damage (bringing H'raken from 10 to 6 hps).

[sblock=OOC]
I don't know why but it seems that lately I am having a hard time updating more than once a week. This is NOT something I like, and hopefully as my workload gets back down closer to normal I will be able to update at lease a couple of times a week if not more.

Secondly, I lost the Maptools that contained the campaign. Well I didn't phisically loose it, but it somehow became corrupted and I was unable to open it. I have been fighting with it since Friday and finally decided to just forget it and make a new map. That is part of the reason it took so long for this update. Also, please excuse the shoddy map - I threw it together last night to just get something for an update.

Anyway, here is the update for Round 9, and let me say, wow this is a tight battle.
[/sblock]

Round 9

Feeling his instinct of survival coming back to him, he is enraged by all the pain he gets. "You'll go down first! And you'll meet Lauto!" replies Gloom who follow up H'raken and pierce him with his sword. He feels the warm blood of his enemy flowing from the wound to his pommel. "Thorn, time to finish him!"

Gellan turns, his eyes flaring in the darkness, and spots the robe-wearing goblin. "Hah, someone more my own size!" he snarls, and moves to intercept this new foe. His first swing is blocked by the goblin's staff, though, and Gellan lets out a howl of fury.

Zharne noticed Gellan's new prey and rushes to join him to overwhelm the goblin

Thorn dances behind H'raken, hoping to grab his attention. Unfortunatley, the inky cloud causes his spear-tip to miss, with only a weak spear-butt making contact.

Minharath quietly goes about his healing business…

As Gellans blade misses the robed Goblin it quickly steps back into the path of the oncoming Zharne. As the elf-tuned-wolf snaps its jaws down missing the goblin it takes another step backward. He moves further away, up towards where the stairs leading out are. He points his staff at Zharne and chants some arcane verse. Zharne feels a slight tingle in his legs, a sensation he has the feeling that could get much worse if he tries to move.

H’raken steps to the side and jabs his longsword into Thorn. This gives Karl the opportunity to step up and slam his axe into Gloom.

Karl then follows up with another devastating chop, dropping Gloom to the floor once more, and he steps up toward Thorn with a victorious grin upon his face.

M’Orin appears around the corner by the robed Goblin and holds his bow at the ready.

OOC: goblin tactics cant be used TWICE in the same round/turn as it is an immediate reaction(and we only have 1 of those) so Shar-doo cant shift in reaction to Zharne's missed attack

Zharne assumes his elven form and unleashes lightning in Hraken's direction then he yells at Minharath, "Get Gloom on his feet, Priest!"

[sblock=Action Details]

Minor Action:wildshape back to elf, no shift
Standard Action:Storm spike Hraken(MISS)
Move Action:

Save Vs Stinging Hex:FAILS

[/sblock]

EDIT - Ahh, yes I missed that , thanks Ozy. Shar-doo will then simply shift away from Zharne to M17 and the rest remains the same. So SHAR -DOO IS AT M17, not where it is shown on the map. Thanks

H’raken steps to the side and jabs his longsword into Thorn. This gives Karl the opportunity to step up and slam his axe into Gloom.

[sblock=Mechanics Question]

Wasn't H'raken under Gloom's divine sanction (UEoNT)? I'm not sure if H'raken's "slash" trigger's the divine sanction, but if it does, I think he will take 5hp damage for attacking someone eles(Thorn) instead of Gloom.

This would reduce him from 6hp to 1hp and will make a difference on how I attack (my reaping strike could drop him on a miss).

[sblock=Keeping Track]And here we see the value of proper record keeping. I decided to go back and re-read the whole fight, in order to see what powers I have left. For a moment, I thought I had cheated and used 3 healing words in this single fight.

I've used 4. Oops.
Turns out, I'm pretty much done for powers. All I have left is Bane and my at-wills, so here it gets interesting. And you have my sincere apologies for not keeping better track of my power usage.[/sblock]
"Get Gloom on his feet, Priest!"
"I am well aware of my role here, savage! I am, however, growing fatigued. I cannot keep this up all night! If you do not bring this conflict to a swift end, Lauto will!"
Channeling the power of even a benevolent deity is a fatiguing task, and Minharath has been pushing himself beyond his limits to keep up with these men. Seeing Gloom fall (again), he weaves in and out of the battle, trying to get close to him. Through the fatigue, and the pain caused as an enemy's weapon is deflected from by chainmail, Minharath calls on an older training. Pulling cloth bandages from a pouch at his waist he binds Gloom's wounds, muttering prayers to the gods for the endurance to finish this battle. Though he is too tired to channel much in the way of magic, Minharath will rely on his faith and his training, and pray for the best.
[sblock=Actions]Move action: Move to I24 by way of H23, provoking an OA from H'raken.
H'rakin's OA on Minharath (AC 16) (1d20+11=18) hit for 1d8+4=9 damage.
Standard Action: Heal Check (DC 15 (1d20+12=19)) to let Gloom spend his Second Wind. He'll spend a surge to regain 9 hit points, but won't gain the +2 bonus to defenses.[/sblock]
