Epic Commoner
Okay I'll probably get yelled at (again) for starting a thread about a weekely show.

Anyway, of course I always miss something.

What did Sawyer drop when he said "You weren't supposed to have seen that" right in the very begining.

DAGGER!!! YOU MIS-SPELLED WEEKLY!
(See? I didn't yell at you for starting a new thread.)

Good episode. We see Sawyer fleshed out a bit, and even feel a touch of sympathy for him, although he's still a dirt bag. (But not a total dirt bag; e.g. he called off the con once he saw they had a kid.)

So Kate's attracted to the dirt bag. At least a little. I don't think she's dumb enough to kiss him otherwise BEFORE he gives with the location. I don't get what she sees in him, though.

Next week should be good. Sayid's my #2 guy, after Locke.

I love the character development on this show. Shannon (?) went from being a rather useless bitch to being an object of sympathy when she struggled with her asthma simply to breathe; she seemed to be a lot less edgy and a lot more vulnerable in this show. Sawyer though... you can see why he is such a scumsucker now, but I find it hard to imagine anyone would let someone else linger in agony while he was sitting on the secret about the medicine; if he'd come clean right away, they could have started to figure out something else.
Next week looks like it ought to be pretty good... there's someone else on the island?!

Sure; the french woman (as well as, perhaps, Bernard, Jack's father, Steve, Scott, and the other 20-30-some people we haven't met, yet)! I wonder if Steve and Scott will have a part, next season, and whether or not we'll see anyone from the tail-end of the plane?

So anyway, WHO slugged Sayid, in the last episode?

Another great episode! :D

The characters are really starting to shine. I actually like Sawyers character a lot (or whatever his true name is, did she mention it when she figured that out?). He reminds me of Dr. Smith from 'Lost in Space' in some ways.

You can't really fault him for 'letting someone linger in agony", because he knew there was nothing he could do, he didn't have the medicine.

I think he still has some more secrets left to reveal... because we still don't exactly know why he was on the plane. Although you could guess that he was running from the guy in the pool hall.

Other random notes:

I like the growing tensions between Kate and Jack/Sayid/Sawyer.

The scene with Locke and Sayid again reinforced my initial distrust of Locke. (And I was starting to get lulled by his actions last week.)

Boone again does something sneaky on his own. (He's going to cause some big trouble eventually.)

Next week looks promising!

Another Great Episode.

Random Thoughts:

1) Well, now it becomes clear. Sawyer is damaged, mentally, and so full of self-loathing that he's trying to get people to punish and possibly even kill him for his past sins. No doubt, he also blames himself for what happened to his parents. He's both more and less sympathetic, because of it. The show didn't take the easy way out with him. I'm guessing Sawyer found his way to Australia because he had to flee the country. Interesting.

2) Sayid has one of the best lines of the episode: "Unfortunately for us both, you are wrong." So much conveyed in so few words. Nice.

3) Hey, don't everybody get up to help Jack at once! Jeez, c'mon you damn sheep...move!

4) I like the continuing budding romance between Charley and Claire. I like the interesting dynamic between Michael and Sun. I can see how their characters (and Claire) got promoted to be more central characters to the show. They just add so much to it. I wonder what Jin's thinking, now? Sooner or later, he has to realize no man (or man and wife) is an island.

5) Hurley and Charley's conversation was great. I like Hurley more and more. With luck, he won't just continue to be relegated to the sidelines.

6) Interesting development with Sayid...and next episode looks to be AWESOME.

This show is a great ride.

I really liked this episode.

Great little twist with Sawyer not really being Sawyer. But becoming him.

Also the preview for next weeks episode makes it look to be even better!

Random thoughts on 10/11 Lost episode.

Anybody else wonder about what Sawyer meant when, while being treated by Jack, he said "I've watched you die" to the good doctor?

Sayid's coolness factor increased ten fold after this episode.

Sawyer's act is getting old. It's unbelievable to me that a group of people would allow an individual to horde valuable survival items, and use them to barter. Sawyer should have been taken down by now.

Let me second the previous thoughts that Hurley and Charlie's conversation, and the budding romance between Charlie and Claire are great examples of well written TV.

Locke goes from hero to creepy manipulative guy in one scene. COOL!

I'm a little tired of Kate. Not sure why just yet, but I could do without her for an episode or two.

I hate Boone. Maybe it's because I fought a kid with the same name in the sixth grade, or maybe it's because the character is a troublemaker to the extreme.

Speaking of Boone, did anyone else think that the dynamic between him and sister, seemed to be taking on a more "intimate" nature. The way they looked at each other seemed a tad less brother/sister to me.
