Lost 12/01/04

I think the psychic thought she would die in the crash. It was his last resort in the face of her insistence on putting the baby up for adoption.

I don't think he necessarily saw her get killed, but saw the crash and assumed she would not survive.

I also think he's not a real psychic. I think whatever is responsible for things like making Jack see hallucinations of his dead father walking around is responsible for putting "visions" in the psychic's head. I think that's why he was so upset the first time around. He saw a vision for the first time and it wasn't pretty.

The baby might have died in the crash after all. As I recall, Jack and Claire are worried about the baby after the crash and the first sign it is alive is when it kicks immediately after Claire eats her first "island food" (the sashimi Jin offers her).

It is a good point that Danielle might have been on the island longer than 16 years. I saw a message pointing out that a lot of her stuff seemed older than that, suggesting it had been there longer than 16 years. They noted the absence of large amounts of plastics, for instance. THe rifles themselves look to me like guns my father had in the 70s, but probably aren't earlier than a 60s vintage.

We could probably find excuses for half the characters to not be on the manifest based on using assumed names. Ethan is the obvious choice and therefore probably the wrong one.

She has definitely been on the island longer than 16 years. They all crashed on the island together. Then over time "the sickness" took over them and she had to kill them one by one. She only started sending out the message after she killed everyone.
