What if...

Here's a thought...

When the psychic gives her the plane ticket, what if it wasn't for the plane that she got on? What if she was supposed to get on another one but got on this one by mistake... And therefore SHE is the one that isn't on the passenger list?

Probably not, but it was a thought I had. :-p

Well, the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) is a famous museum in Toronto, which I believe is where Ethan claimed to be from. I can't see how that'd be relevant unless the guy was familiar with city Toronto and decided to fabricate a false identity quickly when he was asked by Hurley for his bio.

Ethan said he was from Ontario, but never specified a city. The line where Hurley says, "Canada, huh? Cool. Great --- " was hilarious. He should watch some episodes of The Greatest Canadian if he wants to know something about why Canada is not "America Jr."

This was a great episode, it had me thinking the rest of the night.
It looks like next week Sawyer will be getting his revenge on Sayid.
My thought is that Ethan and the monster have some connection as well as being the french woman's child. The look in his eyes when he encountered Charlie and Claire was pricelessly evil.

(BTW, Ethan really means "solid, enduring," in Hebrew. But it was a good joke!)

Yeah most of the baby name things I'm looking at now say that. The first one I checked tacked on "of the island" not sure why.

You missed The Roman.

Someone on another board brought up the fact that if you look up Roman 8:15 in the bible it has something about adoption... But I haven't actually looked it up myself.

Romans 8:15, from the King James Bible
"For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father."

"Romans" at the website (http://www.blueletterbible.org/kjv/Rom/Rom008.html) was abbreviated as "Rom".

Ethan seems pretty tweaky, in a bad way. I think he's shown up very briefly before, as "hunter #2" or something. Part of Locke's entourage.

Cheers
Nell.

He cannot be DeLenn's (Mira Furlan's) son because the kid would only be about 15.
Assuming the kid was born on the island. He could have been brought by the Frenchie and her hubby.

And yes, Ethan has been around in the background in a couple of episodes before. Never more than a handful of lines, however.

My favorite line has to be Charlie's... "I did drugs, I can deliver a baby!"

Also, Charlie and Claire are so cute together... and Emilie de Ravin is really cute.

[EDIT] Oh, and one other thing I noticed now that I really should have noticed the first time around... the voice of the French woman is Mira Furlan. I should have heard that the very first time I heard the message.

I wouldn't like to think the psychic was crooked. It would ruin the supernatural feel.

I think that's one of the great things about the show. There isn't any proof either way. Just like the real life. You can choose to believe, or not, and thus the way you see things is defined by your world view.

I think the psychic was crooked, but according to my world view, it doesn't matter either way. Things still turned out the same, no?
