LOST 2/23/05 Spoilers!

First Post
Sawyer, althought not prominent, had the best moments in this episode.
"Lord of the Flies" thing killed me. As did the buying his "ticket" on the raft.

Jin not as ruhtless as we thought.

I think from the ending this is the best thing for Sun. Freedom!

I have stated this before, that I must turn my brain off while watching. I did not realize the Walt setting the boat on fire and Locke covering for him. (Could have been the wine though).

I thought Jin helping with the boat was a god little twist.

I thought the ending was great! I thought, for a second, there was something wrong with my audio. The batteries running out was clever.

Yeah the batteries thing was great. My wife had just said "I can't believe his batteries are still good", and 5 seconds later the cd player quit. Spooky.

I liked the new perspective on Jin. He is a more sympathetic character to me now.

Suspected Walt for the arson, but Locke totally threw me off with his speech about the "others", I bought that hook line and sinker.

Really looking forward to some exposition about Hurley.

I loved Hurley's little cameo in the television in the flashback. Makes him more interesting, that he was on Korean News or a TV show or something.

Jin...was more interesting than I thought. This is the first time in a while where I was really enjoying the flashback plot. I just hope he doesn't die anytime soon, Daniel Dae Kim needs steady work, darn it all.

I bought Locke's speech too. I think his purpose, other than covering for Walt, was to start the unification effort. Because there ARE others out there, and everyone better wake up to that fact soon.

I think he's a gamer too.

I remember a quote from earlier in the season about how he's known as something af a warrior where he comes from. That just screams gamer to me.

The scenes from next week make it look like he gets a pretty good roll on a reflex save to avoid a trap in the next episode. ;)

Walt burnt the boat? I missed seeing that, I had a phone call from a frind and she talked my ear off for most of the show, but luckily with a lot of sub titles I followe d parts ok. What was the speech about the others? Was it like what Locke told whats his name after he had the hallucinations?

Overall from what I saw it was a better epsiode then the past few.

*screeeech* *blink, blink*

I missed it. I'm gonna have to have you elaborate!

Locke's speech was basically that the "others" had kidnapped them, murdered them etc., and everyone knew there were other people on the island that meant them harm.

He told everybody they needed to stop the infighting and band together (my words not his, but the idea is the same)

Locke gave a very vocal speech to everyone on the beach about not fighting amongst themselves because they are not alone on the island and they all know it. This came immediately after the Jin vs. Michael confrontation ending in Sun speaking English where everyone could hear.

There's not much to elaborate on. When Jin delivered the message to the guy's house in the beginning, the guy's daughter was sitting on the couch with her dog and watching TV. On the TV, Hurely was briefly shown, apparently on a Korean news program. It went by quick, so it's hard to say what kind of context he was in. But he was there.
