Everything in that trailer we've already seen though. It was just a recap of what happened last season.

Nope. A lot of that trailer was brand spanking new: :)

[sblock]"Rescuing you is not exactly our primary mission" "Then what is?"
Various Helicopter Scenes.
Locke about to shoot Ben.
A blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot of Jack's Dad.
Hurley jumping in the ocean.
Desmond telling the lostaways that the freighter people aren't who they say they are.
One of the freighter people pulling a gun on Jack. (alright, this is a well documented promo still. But it wasn't seen last year. ;) )
Sun and Jin reuniting. Again.
Sawyer lock and loading.
Sawyer saying goodbye to Kate.
And so on and so on.[/sblock]

Now there were indeed some scenes from last season in the trailer ("Not Pennys Boat" "Every living thing on this island will be killed" "we have to go back" et ect) But there were plenty of new things as well. Some of it may be the logical conclusions of where we see the season left off. But other bits are a bit less expected.

Besides, it was scenes from next season! What more could you want?

PS, Shade-

Where is the shot of Jack's dad?

[EDIT- NM, I found it, however...
It looks like he's sitting in the chair that Jacob was sitting in? Hmm...

Oh, hum. I am a fan but I have lost that loving feeling for LOST.

I am waiting till it ends. If enough people say it really did answer all the questions by the end I will watch on DVD, otherwise I am glad I gave up when I did.

I'll probably watch it. I'm not as excited about the new season as I was for the second season of Heroes, which is probably a good thing.

I might go and rewatch the third season before-hand. I remember the second season being a lot better to watch all at once, and I don't doubt the third season will be similar.

[ETA] Oof, Thursday at 9pm though? Ten says that spot won't stick to the fifth season, with Grey's Anatomy taking back the spot. I'm not sure ABC really has anything to pair it with though. That'll definitely show in the ratings, though I suspect the strike is probably a good thing, relatively, for Lost's ratings, as it will be one of the only big name shows airing new episodes.
