Another connect the dots. I think we all saw that Jullette was still an Other, once an other always an other. My question, is Jack buying it and you know what, I don't think so. Sure, the writers have wrote him dumb in the past but I don't think so this time, he knows what is happening and is waiting, don't give them anything to use against him, he is bluffing, we have seen him do it in the past only to have someone else spill the beans.

I tend to agree with this sentiment, and hope that Jack isn't just being written as completely naive. Remember that he figured out something was up with Michael, and used that knowledge to get them captured by the Others intentionally last season (not that that turned out to be such a great plan). Then again, he seems to wildly fluctuate between being completely clueless and thoughtful, so who knows?

4) Juliet... I want to know what it is that Ben has over her to control her or how she turned from a shy, unsure researcher into the cold, calculating Other she seems to have become.

You forgot to add "ninja", based on her performance last week. ;)

I was starting to sort of kind of like her, but now I am back to where I was during the first part of the season- I want her to end up with a bullet in her head. She's a real nasty piece of work.

Frankly, she reminds me of Michael. She's willing to do anything, including murder, to escape and get back to the people she loves. Frankly, I like her character from a distance because I find her behavior somewhat repulsive, but understand the motivation (Michael, though, was a jerk... although I get why).

My guess is it's basically because he's The Doctor. With him around they could basically grab anyone and beat the snot out of 'em and Jack would be there to fix them. But imagine if, for whatever reason, they grabbed Jack and went a little too far. Not only would they lose a person, but they'd lose The Doctor. The only doctor.

Plus he was sort of the original rallying guy. That probably gives him some measure of diplomatic immunity, even if he's being a tool.

Exactly.....

Jack doesn't seem particularly tough...but he is smart...and he's the only medical guy. What would have happened if Claire truly was sick (rather than being affected by an implant)? They're on a jungle island, vulnerable to all kinds of things, and the doctor is probably the one person they can't afford to lose.

Same as in D&D. Do you really want your party going into Undermountain or the Tomb of Horrors without the cleric? Not really...

I hope that Jack is playing Juliet, and this is going to be a reverse trick. His behaviour seems really out of character at the moment, given how uncooperative he was at the beginning, and how much he knew that they manipulated people..

Unless he's thinking with his hormones, rather than his head.

I'm flipping back and forth....I'm not sure if she's nasty, or just so homesick, and frustrated with not being allowed to go home, that she's sold her morals and become what she abhors, in order to get free.

That type of behaviour is, well....human. She's probably not the only one who would end up doing that, placed in that situation.

I want to know what hold Ben has though.....rather than Juliet ending up with a bullet, I wonder why Ben hasn't ended up with one.

Agree, it is what Ben does best, finds what is most important to a person and uses it against them.

What proof was there that the X-Rays came from Juliet's sister? They could have been doctored for all we know.

I wonder if Kate is pregnant and if the Others slipped her and Sawyer something to get them to do what they did in the cage. It was also convenient for Ben to be able to show Jack when Kate and Sawyer were going at it. Since the show is all about babies, maybe Sawyer's uncanny ability to give people new names will come in handy. :)
