Lost- episode 4- 10-25-06

I thought it was a mediocre episode, but I certainly like Sawyer a lot more than the previous seasons. A lot.

Like a few others here, I am a bit unsettled at this second island thing. It does make sense because we heard mention of a "boat" back in the first season for Dharma staff, but you'd think someone would have noticed another island (especially Rousseau, who arrived there by boat). Chalk yet another one up to the stupid Losties and their refusal to explore.

Curious to see what this 'sub' is. They have a sub and an underwater facility, genetically manipulated bears and sharks, but no working defibrilator? Hmph.

So, questions - important ones - remain:

Was the village on the main island?

If so, how do the Others get to the Little Island to do all their work?

To what extent are the Others still in contact with the rest of the world?

NoseJob was angry at Sawyer for the death of his wife at Sun's hands - what about the lovedones of the other five people the Losties killed?

Benry said the Others were not killers, but Ethan killed a man and so did Goodwin. Was the statement a lie or did Ethan and Goodwin kill without permission?

To what extent was Juliette lying when she said Benry was not the boss?

What is Benry smoking that makes him think the Losties are morally in the wrong to resist the midnight kidnappings of people and children, the murders, the mind games, the torture and the slavery?

Why does Benry hate bunnies?

Who did they see in the monitor?

It looked like the dude in the mask from the Saw franchise of movies. Maybe a cross promotional bit designed to get people to see Saw III? :p

I liked the episode quite a bit better then most of what I have seen lately. I am curious why Benry was interested in keeping Jack in the room with the dead Other? What purpose did that serve?

Oh, and what the hell was up with the 5 iron lightning rod? And on that, the 5 iron is my best club, I can't believe that guy that Desmond got the clubs from never hits it. Maybe that is why he was only driving the ball about 125 into the water. He better hope he stays Lost for a while so he can figure out how to swing.

That's about it. Lost is dangerously close to losing me at the point. If the eps continue to get better they will keep me. If not I will watch the last few episodes after they announce the cancellation, or I will watch the series finale if it makes it that far.

How far can he see?

How well/accuratly can he see?

How long will he possess the ability?

What are the next lotto numbers?

I could of course answer those questions but I feel it is best if I let them get answered by the show all in due time. :p

Best statement in this thread! (And a hearty "I agree".)

And what is up with this whole "Desmond can see the future" nonsense? Where did that come from? A little too far out in left field for my taste - this came out of nowhere. Are the writers taking a vacation?
