I'm hoping for a 22 episode season.
As for Ana Lucia, I was pretty ambivalent about her right up to her flashback episode. I was pretty sure she was a cop in her past life (check the threads, I totally called it.
) but the whole thing with her setting up the guy that shot her..I really liked that. There really aren't any characters on the show I out right dislike, a few that annoy me from time to time (I'm looking at you Charlie) but over all I'm interested in all their stories.
Speaking of stories, I picked up the Lost book. It's really more of a season 1 guide. It's not bad, some interesting stuff and a DVD (which is really just an extended advert for the Season 1 boxed set). I would reccomend it for you LOST completists out there.
