LOST Wednesday 11/30/05 {Spoilers for this ep and previous eps ONLY!}

Did anyone notice the persons hand holding the reins of the horse on the island?
You could see it very briefly on the right side of the screen.

Kate's mom looked familiar to me, have we seen her on the show before. Somewhere other than the hospital. Maybe I am just remembering from other TV shows.

isn't part of the reason for so many repeats due to the fact that the show is shot in Hawaii, and that the actors do have to go home regularly to deal with family and stuff?

Actually, they've done a good job with the boom mics, I haven't noticed a single one. ;)
Yeah, but we see something in the Sawyer-Sees-the-Horse-Too scene.

I first thought it was a boom mic, but after rechecking, I saw that it was (I think) the horse trainer's hand.

No, most have moved there and the filming is not that difficult, it is all networks and how they plan their seasons.

As to the thought that the writers may not know what's going on:

You know way back in '02 there was a show on Fox called John Doe. Some of you Firefly fans may remember it, as they were run back to back.

After Fox went on its canceling spree and got rid of both shows, several entertainment writers asked the producer what the big secret was. After all, much like Lost it was all very mysterious.

What did they say? They didn't know, they were making it up as they went along. They said if someone really needed an answer they could go with the theory of the moment, which was that everyone who died and sees the light knows everything, and if you were ressurected right in that moment....

Sure, it didn't really play with what actually aired on the show, but if there had to be some answer....

That's kinda how I feel about Lost. I think it's a good show, I do the research and check the boards, hoping that there is an underlying mystery, but this whole season I feared that there was no real answer. After they said that no one would ever know what the numbers mean, I decided that I was right.

They won't say because they simply don't know. It just seams cool so they keep doing it.

Are you sure about that? I don't reclall them saying the "we don't know part", they did give the answer that it was a resserection thing but I think that was the official answer.

I seem to recall that too - they didn't say 'i don't know' but gave the answer that he was on the brink of death, saw the light, and then came back...
but i didn't follow that show very closely so they may have said i don't know first and then given the other 'official answer' or something like that

So, can you offer up some source material, there? The John Doe explanation was relayed from the creators, or so the only article I can find say. What's the source about The Numbers?
