In a recent interview to Mail On Sunday magazine, director Peter Jackson spilled some beans on RotK.
- We will see Denethor for the first time in RotK (I don't rememebr if he appeared in TTT);
- We will also see Mouth of Sauron, who will be wearing a helmet that covers almost the entirety of his head, leaving visible only a rotting jaw.
- We will see Sauron again. "We can't reduce him to a big guy in black armor, but he can't just be a flaming eye", says Jackson. "Sauron in the books is a concept, which makes him hard to translate to the screen. But imagine watching the entire Star Wars trilogy without ever seeing Darth Vader. You can't have that". Which solution will be used to reveal Sauron in all his malign gradiosity???
- RotK will feature the largest battle ever to grace the screen, thanks to Weta Digital, who will put 200,000 extras on screen to duke it out.
