I met my woman outside of gaming. And I decided to not push the hobby on her, mostly because I didn't want her to hate it and make me quit. I may yet introduce her to gaming when I get the free time though.

We met gaming, first at a Con then at a friend's regular game. It took us a long while to get started because of that, because I spent months wrestling with my desire to not be another guy hitting on her at a convention.

I'd love it if my wife was interested in gaming. I think that pigs will fly before that ever happens though! :( She just doesn't have the interest in fantasy or the attention span that's needed. Heck, I've had enough difficulty finding a 2-player board game that is strategic enough for me but simple enough for her.

Oh well, I could think of a lot worse problems than her not liking gaming.

Same boat as Olaf... only I have two sons who will hopefully pickup my love of gaming. I just have to wait a while, they are only an infant and a toddler at the moment.

Met my GF in college, she was majoring in animation while I was majoring in film. We met in editing class and it's been going since.

She's been playing for years before we met. Unfortunately, I can't get her to play with me because she's a 1E purist. She just doesn't think there's anything wrong with 1E. :) She might eventually convince me to run another 1E game though.

I met my boyfriend at one of our campus gaming club's quarterly game days. I signed up to play an RPGA game, and he was GMing.

GM's always get the chicks.

It's that awesome power... combined with the responsibility for whole kingdoms...

Or just the man that makes her feel that way.

When she gets experience I mean.

My wife joined my gaming group while I was out on deployment. We got along OK. Then I went out on deployment again, and then when I got back we hit it off pretty good. Asked her to marry me a couple of weeks later, she said yes, about two months later we were married and our 16th anniversary was November 17th.

The greatest thing from a gamers perspective, is she is the best DM. She creates the best "worlds" I have ever had the pleasure to play in. My kids feel the same way, so whenever my wife feels strong enough to DM we quickly set up to do so.

I am not currently attached, but all my girlfriends have gamed to one extent or another. My track record sits at 40% introduced to it by me, 40% who had become interested in it previously but got into their first serious games with me, and 20% who had tried it in a reasonably serious way already before I was in the picture.
