[LPF] Into the Wilds Part 1

Maenor pulls himself through the opening, oblivious to what is above. What he finds in this chamber are two goblins, barely 10 feet away from him, and just as surprised to see him as he is to see them. He needs no translation to understand the two as they swear under their breath and reach for javelins in which to spear him.

Past the trapdoor is an open-air chamber looking out onto a wooden platform. An iron brazier stands in the center of the floor; glowing
embers light the room. A rope bridge stretches out from the platform, reaching to the next spire.

OOC: Maenor is the only one that can roll for initiative this round, as he is blocking his companions from coming up. He can act if he beats the goblin initiative. I also need to know who is coming up behind Maenor.

Goblin Initiative: [roll0]

Maenor Thandgur

[section]

Maenor practically beams at the sight of the goblins. "Ooh, now this is exciting." He rushes forward and delivers a vicious slash to the lead goblin.

[sblock=ooc-Marching order] if I may,
by way of narrative, Brog is next in line, next would be Ciaus ( I believe MerryM is having Internet issues, according to the AFK thread?) as Kepli and Snorri were coming up from the rear, Regar I am guessing is taking last position

at least that's how I read it.

DT, should we give you a default marching order for now on (post combats)?

Kepli Stormborn

Kepli reached out as Maenor passed and touched him, fingers lightly brushing the ancient armor, transferring a spirit of health to the warrior.

"Be careful."

[sblock=OOC]Cast Virtue on Maenor as he passes to give him one temporary hit point.[/sblock]

OOC: Maenor is up and out of the portal, attacking the goblins before they react. Brog is behind him and can climb to the top this round. Whoever is behind Brog will have to wait. A permanent marching order for times like this may be a good idea, if the party wants to create a default one.

[sblock=OOC] I'm happy with the typical party order of Fighters in front, a fighter at the back and squishies in the middle if you guys are happy with that?[/sblock]

Maenor quickly slays one of the goblins before it has a chance to react and attempt to protect himself. The second goblin squeals in fright, but recovers enough to kick a brazier of coals towards the opening where Brog is coming out from.

OOC:
Maenor and Brog can now attack the sole surviving goblin while Ciaus finishes climbing up the portal.

Brog and Ciaus must make a DC 15 Reflex check to dodge or block the incoming hot coals. If failed they take [roll0] points of fire damage from the burning coals.

From a previous post, I have this marching order: Maenor, Brog, Ciaus, Kepli, Snorri, Regar.

[sblock=OOC+Radaceus] Ah I see, #234. No problem. Yeah, I guess that makes sense whilst i'm making maps but it's just, I'll be a little exposed. Radaceus, if you are ok with it, can we try and have Snorri behind me due to my squishyness please?"[/sblock]

Yep no worries, I was jumping in just to keep the game flowing, and that was the current logical outcome.

DT, Snorri will hold action, allowing Regar to move forward up the ladder ahead of, him, I will narrate it into my action( Edit: I wont be able to take my action until end of work, about 5 hrs from now, out of time! :) ).
-----------------------------------
as to Marching Order, I have no problem bringing up the rear. But, IMO, maybe Kepli is capable of that and have the paladins and Brog( scouting) at the front? Unless of course Kepli wants to also be out front scouting. If so, I will take up the rear guard. Mind you Snorri is more efficient up close.

In lieu of all the above, let us make a command decision here and not deliberate to much more on it:

if everyone can please input. As well as, if MerryM is to be afk much longer, Snorri can swap positions with Caius.

Marching Order, here on some suggestions:
T formation

1. Brog (scouting), Caius (frontline), Kepli also scouting
2. Maenor ( frontline assist)
3. Regar (squishy position)
4. Snorri (Rear guard)

I Formation

1. Brog (scouting), Caius (Frontline)
2. Maenor( frontline assist)
3. Regar (squishy position)
4 Kepli, Snorri (rear guard)

Single File
1. Brog (scouting)
2. Caius (Frontline)
3. Maenor( frontline assist)
4. Regar (squishy position)
5. Kepli
6. Snorri (rear guard)
