The stirge Fhanna attacked flew off, so she looked around for more of the beasties. None were near, the remaining ones either attached to Caius or Seros, or asleep. Fhanna slogged her way out of the swamp toward Caius as she cast a spell. She touched Archimedes. “Fly!” she told the raven spirit.
Archimedes took off, diving toward one of the stirges latched onto Caius.

Caius's eyes roll for a moment. His eyelids are growing heavy and he wills them to stay open. He can see nothing but waves of color, drab swatches of bog-tones. He snarls and viciously slams his fists against the stirges' legs, trying to weaken their grip. All the while, he bleeds.

[section]Blood. Blood was in the air. Mostly, Sero's blood of course. And he continued to utterly fail as he flails about with his longsword being no match for the dexterous stirges latched onto his body. Without too much trouble, Sylvain is able to navigate his agile frame over the horse riggings to the otherside of the wagon. He takes a careful swipe at one of the bloodsuckers on Seros, and manages to clip it in the wing. No longer bothered by his own stirge, Drayvin navigates his horse to Seros' aid, all the while tucking his terbutje back away. As he got closer, he incants a spell of magical grease, fully covering Seros' body. If he wasn't happy before, he surely wouldn't be now... with it being already hot, sweaty, and all around miserable. And oh yes, the stirges.

And about them, Fhanna sent her bird Archimedes over to Caius' aid, imbued with a fatiguing enchantment. Although the bird was able to start pecking away at one of the offending beasties, the magic seemingly had no effect. Fhanna followed as best as she could but could not afford the same luxury of overland flight as her feathered friend. As for Caius, it is unknown which is fading faster... his luck or his blood.

[/section][section]Seconds tick by, but the sleeping spell on two of the creatures is still laying them to rest. The two skirges attached to Caius are having a grand old feast on the paladin, and remain doing so despite his and Fhanna's best attempts to disrupt the party. Perhaps Seros has a slightly-less-dim future in store for him. One insect continues to drain, but the other one wants no part of the fear-mongering half-elf. It disengages and looks to fly back east to safety after getting a decent fill of sweet aasimar blood. However, although improbable Seros thinks he might be able to get one more swat at the be-deviled monster.

@Jago, Seros may take an AoO against s12 if you'd like. Also, 1 more CON damage. I believe that lowers you hp to 8?

@MerryMortician, 2 more CON damage for Caius. hopefully you won't have to make good on your player's namesake.
