Lucky Dice?

This may go against conventional gamer wisdom but on the topic of dice, I find nothing more eerie than players who flip out over the idea of someone else even touching their dice. I recall a recent issue of Dungeon where Wil Wheaton seemed to go loopey over the idea of his step kid touching his dice.

I don't think I have any generally lucky dice, but I hade some specifically lucky dice yesterday.

I cast three 5d6 Lightning Bolts during the game. Expected damage: 17.5. The 24 and the 26 were nice, but it was the very first one that'll be remembered - coming up 6, 6, 6, 6, 6.

When it comes to d20s, I'll frequently get disgusted with a run of sub-6 rolls, throw the die over my shoulder, and fish out another one. It means I need to hunt down the dice at the end of the session, but it's satisfying somehow... :)

You are clearly a deviant of the most disgusting kind and should be flogged as an example to younger gamers everywhere.

:D

I used to work in a bookstore that sold loaded d6s. They were really awful - completely obvious. As soon as you picked one up you could feel the weight and if you rolled one they would wobble about and then flip over to the 6. Uh, sure. I'd buy that.
