[M&M 2e] Red Sands Chronicles. (OOC)

EN World popped up a notice that I had a 'mention,' but I couldn't for the life of me get it to show me where the heck that was (it just kept going to my profile). So thank you for the link, 'cause I would have missed it. I've been slow posting in this game in any case, so I'd be the last person to complain of a delay on your part. :)

Same here as far as the no right to complain thing goes. :) The last four days have been a series of 12 to 14h days with bad sleep in between, hence the no-posting thing (sorry about that). I'm now back in town for a while though and should be able to catch up today or tomorrow at the latest.

Jkson, when you get to your profile with the "mention" link, you should see a "mention" tag at the right end of the bar that begins with Newsfeed, Visitor messages, About Me, etc. Click on that and you'll see a list of all posts whee you've been Mentionned, including Relique's. Hope that helps.

Don't worry, I should be able to post tonight or sometime tomarrow. I hate having to remake NPCs and equipment, luckily I decided to make them somewhat basic this time around. For instance, instead on basing some of the vehicles loosely bsed on the Mecha and Manga mech template, I went the basic route (using a template similar to MM3e).

I'm still debating what to do about power armored suits and mechs.. One specific major character (a possible ally) had a power armor suit. Before it was created using Mecha and Manga's mech template. I'm debating on building it out like a device piece of equipment. However since he appears several updates (at least) after combat ensues (n the not too distant future)... he could wait.

A random note: The new versions of character/equipment stats I've been making do not use "drawbacks," instead I decided to use 3e styled complications. It doesn't change things on your end, but it's worth noting.

This last week and a half I've been swamped (I created an entire action script project out of thin air for my portfolio class... then had to add to it since the teacher said "it needed more." :/ ). So I haven't had too much time to plan/type out Lord B's responce until just recently

Is the midday rest merely tradition, or are there envirnmental factors that encourage it? Just wondered, since Brian may be able to mitigate the latter (though he'd likely try to do so without letting folks know about his abilities). If it's just tradition, though, he won't be much help. :)

I imagine it's a clause in their union contract. :)

THIS.

However, it actually came about due to the 40 minute gap between the length of Earth's day and the length of Mars' day. However, the timing/configuration of the 40 minutes all depends on the region's traditions.

For instance, Setenza and Victoria Town both observe noon rest. Whereas Setenza doesn't treat it as being mandatory, Victoria Town as it mandated through Union Bi-Laws.

The Transporter's guild and Aetherton breaks the 40 minutes into two 20 minute rests (one at noon, one at midnight).

Sultan's Throne, Libya and misc. islamic towns/cities uses the 40 minutes for their daily prayers.

The other widely known observance of the 40 minute "rest" tends to have it occur at Midnight ("Witching Hour").

The odd balls are Olympia which do not have a "40 minute" clock-reset (so their clocks are rarely in sinc with any other city-state). There is also two "Martian clocks" that some locations use. One is a slow running 24 hour clock, and the other uses 20, 74 minute long hours.
